The best friend is 15 the best friends sister is 21 and they invited my daughter to Spain. Would you say no?

So 2x 21yr olds and 2x15yr olds? One 21yr old is leaving her baby at home? And if her 15yr old sister doesn't go then she'll be at home alone? 🤔 Whose looking after the baby? And normally the 15 old?

BillywilliamV · 07/01/2019 12:23

I would personally, depends on the 15 year old and the 21 year old and who was paying.

cmiddlwton · 07/01/2019 12:23

The child will obviously be going. And the dad who is separated from the mum but he is also away on holiday

Sounds like a gang of completely responsible people......

Bekabeech · 07/01/2019 12:33

No I wouldn't. But then I also wouldn't want my DD of 15 to be going with her 21 year old sister (and this is ignoring my family dynamics which would make it a not in a million year scenario). Even if the 21 year old has a child.

Sorry despite your later justification for why you are going to allow this - and I wonder why you asked. I think 21 is still young for that kind of responsibility (I might allow it within the UK, where at least I can easily get there if there is a disaster). 15 year olds can be a nightmare - and what parents see is often not the whole picture.

Myotherhusbandisgaryoldman · 07/01/2019 12:36

No way

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 07/01/2019 12:39

What could possibly go wrong? 😂

MissingGeorgeMichael · 07/01/2019 12:41

One has to wonder why you even asked.

hellabellabluebell · 07/01/2019 12:41

Blimey I didn't expect so many people to say no! I was 15 when I went away with my friends, they too were older than me. As long as you know they'll be responsible then it's just about trusting them. If the 21 year old is a mum then I doubt she'll drag them all clubbing. I'd be more concerned if she was going in a group with boys. Just make sure she's safety savvy and knows what is sensible behaviour. Honestly she'll love you for letting her be more independent.

FlyingMonkeys · 07/01/2019 12:44

So the friends dad is going? I'd have said that from the start as it completely changes the situation. So.... A 15yr old wants to go on holiday with her friend and her friends dad?

halfwitpicker · 07/01/2019 12:46

Ah OK

Hmm
Springfresh · 07/01/2019 12:47

Not a chance.

SillySallySingsSongs · 07/01/2019 12:52

Not a chance

cloudtree · 07/01/2019 12:53

No not the friend's dad - the guy who got the 21 year old pregnant but they're now separated ...

KittensAndCake · 07/01/2019 13:20

I read it as the friend's sister's ex boyfriend (baby's dad) was going on a separate holiday not on the same one. I've confused myself now 🤯

LIZS · 07/01/2019 13:21

If a young child is also going they will either be used as babysitters or left to their own devices.

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 07/01/2019 13:23

Not on your nelly

FlyingMonkeys · 07/01/2019 13:23

I'd think either the 15yr olds are going to end up out clubbing (potentially on their own), or being babysitters whilst everyone else goes out. Either scenario is pretty terrifying abroad with no safety network if something goes wrong.

louise5754 · 07/01/2019 14:28

I'm confused about the latest update. I'm dyslexic not trying to be funny.

LordPickle · 07/01/2019 15:17

No

EdtheBear · 07/01/2019 16:22

Bit of a massive drip feed.

So are you saying its 2x15 yo the sister 21, ebf 21 and small child?

Very much depends on the resort.
Alternatively let the 21yos have some time to themselves, invite the 15yo to stay with you for a week and them take her on holiday with you.

Therefore 21yos get time to themselves.
And the 2 x15 yos get holiday supervised by adults they might actually listen to.

HeartyLaugh · 07/01/2019 16:36

Well, when you put it like that....my answer would still be ... no way! Grin
BTW is Jeremy Kyle orJerry Springer going on this holiday with them too? Xmas Grin

StressedToTheMaxx · 07/01/2019 22:36

So it's not actually a 21 year old and two 15 year olds then is it Hmm
It's a 21 year old, exbf similar to age to 21 year old, two 15 year olds and a baby.
That is a whole different group of people and a completely different situation to the question you initially asked.
If your now changing it to the latter, i would be meeting the sister and discuss details further. But it would be a maybe until that point.
