What are hamma beads???

hana · 03/09/2004 21:31

hama beads are the little plastic beady things that you can make into pictures and then melt with an iron to make permanent? I think......dd is too young for them yet so this is a guess from what I've seen on the shelves without a proper look. Ikea sell them too.

Oh, Zebra, dd is getting a rocking horse for her (belated) 2n d birthday. Am sooo excited - have always hankered after one and it'll be big enough for mummmy to go on (after lose about 20 stone of baby weight, that is).

that's right hana, sorry - only just seen this thread again - they are reasonably cheap and have kept every child that has visited our house, (from age 5 to 60!) entertained for hours. If you pierce them with a needle afterwards and thread ribbon throught they look pretty in the window or on the crimble tree too!

The trampoline and swing set dd got for her birthday this week. They have provided hours of entertainment for dd and ds (I've had a little go as well!}

Bought ds2 some bubble bath cunningly disguised as spiderman yesterday. He went to bed with it, and hasn't let it leave his side since

This Dora the Explora Bingo game that my 2 year old got for her birthday. She can play it alone, with her sister or with me too, and she LOVES it.

treacletart · 04/09/2004 21:44

ds' favourite first birthday present is a pop up play tunnel from toysrus. He adores it and he's taken to pulling it out and just sitting in it waiting for us to come and play along with him.

mummytojames · 04/09/2004 23:05

Ds1 got a sandpit for his first birthday and it's still got loads of mileage left in it. Definately one of the most played with presents in our family - he's now six. Dd (four) played in it for hours today with her little friend and ds2 will be enjoying it in the not too distant future.
