Fucking Fred and Flo!!

Was using Tesco loves Baby nappies for my daughter, now they've changed them to 'Fred and Flo' fair enough, went and bought my usual 4 packs, thinking it was just rebranding and they wouldn't mess with the nappies.

*Wrong!
*
Nappies are totally shite now, much smaller fit, massive gaps at the side and so so thin. Can't imagine them holding much.

So now I'm going to have to trail back to Tesco to return them, and find a new brand of nappies!

Any suggestions anyone?

I actually think they're great!
Thinner yes but still absorbs the same.
Could you go up a size ?

willothewisp17 · 15/11/2018 12:38

I'm not sure a bigger size would make any difference, they are so thin too, so I don't imagine one big wee would be kept contained!

It's such a shame because I really found them to be the best nappies Sad

We found them rubbish. Leaves with every poo and couldn’t last 12 hours overnight that our usual Aldi one do. Glad the packs finished now

Omg no please I've just bought £50 worth of them 😢

AnnieM18 · 24/11/2018 09:11

They are rubbish! I’ve only tried them twice and both times they leaked. Once in the middle of the night so I had to do a complete change 🙄. Any suggestions for better nappies? There is no Aldi near me so can’t try those. I am so disappointed. The old Tesco ones were great!

twinkletwinkleblueberry · 24/11/2018 09:24

We've used Tesco nappies for over a year and have had no problem with the new Fred and Florence ones... I like the design on them too!

jjemimapuddleduck · 24/11/2018 10:37

We love Sainsburys nappies - £4.50 for 72.

My daughter is a light wetter though, not tested on a heavy wetter!

redrobin123 · 24/11/2018 10:53

Aldi nappies have got to be the best? They are absolutely amazing! I've used them with my nearly 2 year old since she was born and never even had a leak! Plus they feel super comfy! I love them. X

MaverickSnoopy · 24/11/2018 10:59

You're not the only one. My local Facebook group is full of people gifting or selling them.

Personally I've always favoured the Aldi ones but have tried Lidl in the last year and honestly think they're the best ones. They're really very soft and a great fit. They do a little cut out for the umbilical chord for newborns which I think is so clever. They hold a lot of liquid and are ever so slightly cheaper than Aldi.

AnnieM18 · 24/11/2018 20:00

I’m off to Lidl tomorrow to try their nappies. Thanks MaverickSnoopy!

ScreechOwlx · 25/11/2018 18:16

Agreed! They've definitely done something to them as now my 9 month old daughter has come out in a massive rash when before we didnt have a problem with them..i bought two packets and now i cant use em!
Chuck em straight in the bin, as i doubt anyone else is going to want them if their having all these problems :/
Back to pampers we go! Expensive but ill rest easy knowing she wont break out in anymore rashes :)

IgnoranceIsStrength · 25/11/2018 18:48

Yep total crap. We've moved back to aldi ones. Cheaper but so much better quality

Stringofpearls · 25/11/2018 20:08

I find the Fred & Flo ones great for our baby, I guess different nappies fit different babies!

TheMonaOgg · 25/11/2018 20:12

We found them great with our 2.5 yo ds. Better than the old ones!!

AnnieM18 · 26/11/2018 08:51

For anyone looking for new nappies to try, I got Lidl ones at the weekend and they are great, actually better than the original Tesco ones! And only £2.99 a packet. Goodbye Fred&Flo!

willothewisp17 · 29/11/2018 08:55

Thanks everyone, we've moved onto Asda little angels nappies now which seem to be good for us! But I think I'll give mamia nappies a bash once this lot are used up!

The new nappies have leaked poo every day this week (morning time) back to pampere

DudleyDad · 08/12/2018 20:41

Made an account on here just to agree with ScreechOwlx, we normally use Mamia nappies and have had no issues with them whatsoever, but it was late on a weekend so Aldi was shut, so I popped to my local Tesco and bought some size 6 Fred and Flo nappies for my LO, she hasn’t had Nappy rash for around 9 months, but after just 4 of these nappies, she’s come out in a massive rash, going back to Tesco complain in the morning. Also they are very thin and each of the 4 nappies we used that we used leaked.

Desmondo2016 · 08/12/2018 20:42

We are another family who have given up on Tesco nappies since the rebranding.

Skatersbeskating · 08/12/2018 20:43

Lidls are great.

Skatersbeskating · 08/12/2018 20:45

Also this is from last week

Littlemissdaredevil · 09/12/2018 13:56

My 11mo came out in a terrible rash when they became fred and Flo. I’m on the lookout for a new brand of nappies. She’s a very good sleeper so completely fills a 4+ overnight. I’ve got some pampers in the meantime but she poo’d first thing after waking and with a full wee nappy I’m finding the don’t contain the poo!

scrolling123 · 09/12/2018 14:04

We used to used the Tesco's loved ones but don't like the fit of the new ones. Sainsbury's seem very good and there's an online offer on boots for pampers 5 for £20 iifc xx

SydneyCarton · 09/12/2018 14:43

I’ve used Tesco nappies and wipes for my first two babies with no problems and was happily using them with number three until the rebrand...My 2 year old uses the size 6 nappy pants and they seem fine, but the size 2 nappies for the baby are crap now, too small and yes that daft gap at the sides Angry.

Anyone know what the wipes are like after the rebrand, I’ve got a box coming next week....?

Littlemissdaredevil · 10/12/2018 20:57

I’ve got the wipes. I’m not finding a problem yet but have only just started using them
