Always told my baby looks nothing like me :(

I know it's silly and it shouldn't matter but it hurts my feelings always being told he's 'all daddy' or just like dad. It makes me feel left out and it's constantly rubbed in my face by my SO's side of the family. I just wish he looked more like me as I went through pregnancy and birth and he ended up looking like dad!! I wouldn't even mind if it wasn't constantly brought up so that I'm made to feel like just the baby incubator. I'm sure it's just hormones making me this bothered about it because I know at the end of the day he is my child and I love him dearly. I'm just praying he grows up to look more like me ha. I've uploaded some pics for reference - first pic is our baba, second is me as a baby and third is my SO as a baby. The trouble is SO looks so much like he did as a baby as he does now (same distinctive features) whereas I look nothing like I did as a baby so I feel like I have no chance of any of my babies looking like current me. So frustrating lol. Does anyone else have this problem??

Babies are meant to look like their Dad to help with bonding and ensure they take care of them and protect them. My DGD1 was the spitting image of my Son in law when born and his side of the family. She is almost 3 now and resembles our side more. DGD2 though looks very like my DD. I expect your son will change as he gets older

It's annoying my mil used to do this all the time even though my dd is the spit of me as a baby just different hair and eye colour everything else is uncanny. My mil constantly tries to push that her dp says dd looks just like her and he only sees her in dd again complete bollocks i just laugh and say something like oh yes I see it if you close your eyes she really does look just like you! Grin even dh laughs at her I think she thinks if she keeps saying it then it will be true. I dont let it bother me I just roll my eyes. Wait until all the comments comes that everything your child does it just like dp and you never did any of those things it's hilarious.

Both my DC look exactly like their dad, DS even more so. I've sent photos of DH as a young boy to my dad and he's thought it was DS. The moment I knew DS really looked like him was when a stranger commented 'he must really look like his dad' to me. It's like he cloned him. Of course mil has continually rubbed this in my face, I can't post a photo without her posting one of DH looking the same. Anyway, DS may be the image of his dad but his personality is all me and funnily enough that's driven the in-laws crazy because he is exactly like me in every way apart from looks :)
DD bless her looks like the girl version of her dad and is very similar to him in personality.
