Any ideas? I find loads of them stereotypical or tacky, like pink and sequins and all that rubbish.

Where do you get your young girls clothes from? I used to buy the odd Frugi bit but funds don't allow anymore.

YY to second hand. I used to get tons on ebay when I was in the UK. I had a whole system for it. Go into the girls' clothing section, then use the filters. Select the size you need and then go into colour and tick everything except pink (and white or whatever other colours you don't like). Go into type of clothing and pick the type(s) you're looking for (trousers, dresses, t-shirts, etc). If you want, go and pick brands as well. Leave the unspecified boxes unticked because that filters out a lot of the rubbish.

Give yourself a budget. I can't remember mine now but it was something like max £3 for a t-shirt, max £6 for trousers/jumper. Up to £4/8 if I REALLY liked it. If you're happy to pay more, budget more. Don't count postage yet.

Sort by most recently added. Anything which looks good, put a watch on it. Once you've got a few there, go into my watched items and sort by seller. Then go to each seller's page in turn and suss out their other listed clothing. Watch anything else they have listed which you want. Repeat for other sellers. Then you can go in and sort by listing end date instead. If you like, come back in a couple of days but if you want to do it now, work out the seller's postage as if you only won one of their items and bid your max per item (counting postage) plus a random amount of pence higher, like .67 - make it a tiny bit higher than you'd realistically be happy to pay. That way if you get outbid, you won't feel annoyed because it will be more than you wanted to pay anyway. I never bothered with snipers for clothes. I got lots of lovely, unique things with this method.

I've just done a search on ebay with my filter trick and there are some Boden dresses on there currently at £3 each. And a lot of weird mermaid tails. But still!
