What would you style this with for little girl?

Ideas please! What would you style this with on your little girl? I ordered it from eBay thinking it was a jacket with sleeves and then this turned up......now not sure what exactly LO can wear it with, she's only 9 months old and don't think much of her current wardrobe goes with it. Confused

This should probably be in S&B.

That does look pretty pointless for a baby! I’d send it back. If not, a stripey long sleeved Breton top underneath or just a plain white or neutral coloured long sleeve top.

hungryhenryshouldeatelsewhere · 05/02/2018 12:36

A babygro- she's 9 months old not 19!

Scoose · 05/02/2018 12:37

Sorry but I think it would look ridiculous on a nine month old baby maybe a nine year old could get away with it but not a little baby! I would resell it or give it away.

It’s a bit random for a baby Grin . Sell it or give it to a charity shop.

Mydaughterisamazing · 05/02/2018 12:40

Thanks, I thought the same it's cute for a teen but pointless for my baby! I did message and ask if it had sleeves but they didn't reply so I bid anyway and won Hmm I thought maybe jeggins cream top and kickers, but that's only one outfit and I paid £15 for it. Do you know if it's possible to change the topic once you have posted?

£15! You were robbed! Incidentally what size is it because it dies the look like anything that is marketed for babies to wear

Scoose · 05/02/2018 12:42

*doesn't not dies that bloody phone Hmm

Mydaughterisamazing · 05/02/2018 12:45

I know, it was £30 in the shops too! It's 9-12 months so definitely made for babies, however it is river island and they sell wildly inappropriate children's clothes. I have just bought her some patent black kickers so wanted a black jacket to go with.

Babies don't need style. They need clothes.

Scoose · 05/02/2018 13:19
Hmm
MyDcAreMarvel · 05/02/2018 13:23

Kickers for a nine month old , why would you do that?

Scoose · 05/02/2018 13:25

I think it's a wind up it has to be surely

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 05/02/2018 13:27

When mine were babies i went comfort over style! Never considered if things matched.

If i was putting this on my older dd i would put on a long sleeve polo neck, pinafore dress and tights.

halfwitpicker · 05/02/2018 13:29

How do you have time to pour outfits together for a nine month old?!

MsHomeSlice · 05/02/2018 13:29

I think this would be super nice hun.

Kickers?!

demirose87 · 05/02/2018 13:37

Why did you think it had sleeves?

Mydaughterisamazing · 05/02/2018 13:44

Sorry I forgot I was posting onto a forum of judgemental grumpy old women

OP posts:
Shmithecat · 05/02/2018 13:47

A) that is just horrid. You were mugged
B) you shouldn't be putting anything on your babies feet shoe wise unless she's already a confident walker.

reallyanotherone · 05/02/2018 13:50

I saw the title and could only think little girls should not be “styled” at all.

Then i read the thread and discovered it was about a 9m old.

FissionChips · 05/02/2018 13:56

That’s a bit of an overreaction opConfused.

Mydaughterisamazing · 05/02/2018 13:58

My daughter doesn't wear inappropriate uncomfortable clothes, or silly headbands, she wears babygrows, or leggings with jumpers/t-shirts, hence why I said it doesn't go with her current wardrobe, the picture on the listing when I bought it didn't look like a gilet, I thought it was a black jacket with a nice warm lining, don't think there's any need for the judgemental responses, I bought her shoes to keep her feet warm! They are soft soled kickers suitable for her age, what's wrong with buying my daughter a nice pair of shoes!

demirose87 · 05/02/2018 13:59

You said yourself River Island sell " wildly inappropriate clothes", and you're asking what to style it with, so you must see others' point!

Mydaughterisamazing · 05/02/2018 14:00

Fissionchips I said that because I feel like my parenting is getting attacked for buying a silly jacket and asking what people thought

OP posts:
demirose87 · 05/02/2018 14:00

Don't put it on her then if you don't like it. Sell it or give it to a charity shop, who bloody cares.
