Acceptable to let 3yo DS wee at edge of playground?

Is it deemed acceptable to allow your (not long out of nappies) 3yo to have a little wee in the bushes in the corner of the playground, to avoid having an accident? For context, the playground is semi-rural and has lots of greenery along two edges to soak up aforementioned piddle...

OK or not OK?

I think anywhere a dog is allowed to pee is ok for a child.

It's tricky as it's where children are playing so for preference I'd rather go outside the playground to find a Bush if possible.

I think so, there are no toilets near the playgrounds near us (also rural) so really there is no other option!

I use the “wherever dogs wee” rule so if it’s a playground with a fence keeping dogs out of take ds outside the fence too.

Of course, what's the alternative? You can't stop them weeing if they need to.

Yes but you ideally need to be out of sight from other kids. Some are known to point or make loud comments about a kid peeing. 😂

This is completely normal if you are somewhere rural/semi-rural as there are no toilets.

If there are toilets, obviously use them, even if it's a short walk. If there aren't find somewhere as descreet as possible.

The park opposite the DC's school doesn't have toilets, so there's no choice.

Considering my 3 yr old had a wee against my wheel arch at Paultons today, I'm not sure I can comment. I would prefer this to soggy pants

A bush is fine. What's the alternative? A discreet wee us better than an accident.

Used to let toilet training DD do this at that age, as long as it's in an unused corner I think it's fine. Once they can hold off for 5 mins, they can go to a nearby toilet, but when they are little it's all about instant reaction.

Stick - if you're in a public place and your toddler suddenly needs an wee what's the alternative

My children never asked at that age.

I just turned around and was visually assaulted by a real life manneken pis. Better than pissy trousers though.

If you'd let a dog wee there, a child can't be too much worse. But don't let him wee in the actual playground - take him outside of it.

I use the dogs rule too, if a dog can wee the then I let a child. So outside play areas, not inside.

A rainfall will soon wash it all away.

If you ever swim in a public pool you have to accept it's like 98% pee
