i use sudocrem works wonders for my little one but you can also use e45 cream for nappy rash and thats good.

Another vote for Weleda nappy change cream, our local herbal shop has it , as does the pharmacy in our waitrose.

Actually it works wonders on chafing (my dd2 gets this under her arms) and it clear most things up in 24 hours.

Fantastic stuff. Its £5 a tube and lasts ages. Doesnt stain either on carpets/clothes etc.

I think you can leave egg white on overnight. I only resorted to it because I was at the end of my tether, having previously used Sudocreme as a matter of course, followed by Metanium when things were getting bad, and then finally the egg whites when dd1 was literally red raw. It was so upsetting. But my HV told me it used to be common knowledge to leave nappies off and paint their bottoms with egg whites, but since the salmonella fiasco, they were no longer officially allowed to recommend it any more. I have to say it was well-worth the gamble. Sorted out my dd1 brilliantly. I was so grateful, as the doctor had been really off-hand and no help at all.
