2.5 year age gap - what was your experience like?

Due DC2 in 5 weeks, DD will be 2yrs 7months.

This pregnancy has just flown in and I'm now feeling a bit anxious. There seems to lots of things I need to sort out (organisation of bedrooms mainly!)

I'm starting to feel sad that the 1:1 time with my DD (who is very much a mummy's girl) is going to be limited and her world is about to completely change.

I'm having flashbacks to when DD was a newborn and how difficult I found it - how can I do that again with a toddler too??

Any experience sharing/advice welcome

You'll find you will be a lot more relaxed with no2 and that will rub off! Of all my friends, all now with 2,3 or 4 small children, all of the 'high maintenance' babies were all first borns.

Second borns and later get used to being somewhat ignored/left in a room on their own etc and are a lot happier to be left ime!

As I write this, I'm thinking back to how I used to take a shower with my first born sat watching in her rocker 10cm away staring at me (and me panicking overtime I closed my eyes to wash out shampoo_

What the hell was I thinking! Second born happily sat in rocker watching TV in the bedroom whilst I enjoyed a leisurely shower!
