Moltex - anyone else find they leak every time?

I normally use cloth, using disps only when out for a full day or more. I chose Moltex as I'd heard they were good as well as eco-friendly, but so far they have leaked from the sides every time I've used them.

Anyone else had this problem?

Good cloth nappies are so much better for BF poo - we've never had a leak, even when DS was doing epic, kept-it-in-for-a-week explosions!

The few Moltex we used were hopeless in this respect, but it doesn't sound like this is true for everyone. Try them and see

Fair comment bobsmum. But I just have to say - I have two 8m and 24m in nappies, work full time, wash up to 70 nappies a week. So if I use about 6 huggies or pampers a week for economy and convenience instead of expensive leaky motlex then my eco halo is still very much intact and shining!
By the way, why use nappies for days out, that you know are leaky? I can't bear the carrying extra clothes around waiting for leaks!

Agree, when I used disposables instead of cloth, then that's when the leaks happened.

I for one stopped using the offending Moltex once I'd eliminated user error and decided they were Just No Good. So now it's cloth as default and eco destruction at other times.

I've used moltex in the past and found them to be pretty good, didn't have any problems with leaks.

Maybe you need to go up a size???

I used to love Moltex. Had no leakages despite the fact that DD can do some amazing poos. However the recent redesign does mean that there is now no elastic in the waist band and this has led to leakages. Why, why, why did Moltex have to fiddle with a good design??? Have moved to Nature Baby which are not as eco friendly but are produced in the UK.

I used them up until almost a year ago when a Waitrose opened near my DH's work where he could get the Naturebaby biodegradable nappies. I must say that I didn't have any problems with Moltex, except the price!! Re the BF poos, if DS had gone a few days without one and was due an explosion, I would also use a wrap over the top to keep it all in. That was a top tip from someone on here and I can recommend it highly.
