Two under two - thoughts / experience?

Just that really. My DS Is 11 months old, just realised I'm pg again. First cycle trying after a long time breastfeeding, slightly in shock. Had MC and took then a wee while to conceive number one - so in a way we only started trying to quickly as I expected it to take forever. Absolutely delighted and always wanted an age gap as small as possible. Am however flipping terrified at prospect of the sickness and tiredness with an active toddler and a full time job (going back in 2 weeks!) - I know that there are plenty of mums on here with two under two...I think I'm just looking for some reassurance / advice since I can't tell anyone IRL yet!

12 month gap and loved it . I did hate all the negative comments from others throughout pregnancy and the first few months .
Great idea to keep nursery up .
Enjoy !!

My dc3 and 4 are 13 months apart. I found out I was pregnant again when dc3 was 14 weeks oldBlush

Yes to the negative comments from people, but just ignore them. Take any help that's offered, if you can stretch to cleaner mine worth her weight in gold. The first year was I bit of a blur but they are almost 3 and almost 2 now and they are close as close can be and play really well together.
Be kind to yourself in the early days it was often a case of everyone fed no one dead.Grin

I also found 1-2 much harder than 1. 1 was just a steep learning curve. 2 requires a lot of juggling and logistically is much more difficult.

I don't mind negative comments, people just have sympathy. It gives me an outlet to gossip about the bad bits and nice bits! And now I've been through it, I also see preg ladies with a toddler and think 'oh you poor thing, I have been through it too!' (don't say it though!).

Our first 4 came in four and a half years. For some of the early weeks of the later ones my MIL - ex Great Ormond Street sister - was a great help, as was my own mother. Then we got into a sort of routine and probably fussed less about each individual child than we had done with DC1. It is fair to say that number 3 was easier, and each one after 2 seemed to add much less extra work. We too got negative comments but all the children were healthy, seem reasonably bright and happy so who cares? We did get through two washing machines in six years and kept fit lifting wriggling children but it was all worth it. DC5 is now 4 and I am just wondering ......though not enough to have done more than broach the subject, apparently lightheartedly, to DH though I'm not sure he was fooled. Anyway the very best of luck and pleasure with it all.
