Children: two boys aged 10 and 8.
Our top three, non-negotiable rules are:
1: No hitting, swearing, mimicking or name calling.
2: No speaking whilst you have food in your mouth.

3: Put all dirty clothes and wet towels in the laundry basket.

What are your top three?

Dd 4 and ds 6 and these apply to everyone.

  1. Be kind - no teasing or hitting
  1. Speak in a normal voice - no shouting at each other
  1. Take care of your stuff and help put it away

Lol at hamster grooming. One of my subsidiary ones is 'no spinning the hamster ball around when the hamster is in it'.

Todays rule only invented 1 day ago as a direct result of DD and DS's caring concern for the dog

" no pull ups and clip - on earings on the dog"

DD said - no need to use nappy sacks when walking the dog and the earings look cool
