I'm just being silly/taking the piss out of people's attitudes to teens.

Surely they deserve rights, and these sorts of laws are just grossly unfair.

I was born and grew up in in London and went out to the cinema (and yes to clubs) with friends from the age of 14. We used the bus and occasionally cabs if it was very late (mum gave me the money for cabs).

We were normal teenagers having a good time and never got into any sort of trouble. All of my friends from that time have grown up into law abiding, successful middle-aged people. Not a single one of us took drugs or got into any serious trouble (we did drink a bit though )

My sister on the other hand would tell my mother she was popping to the shops and would come back 3 days later after we had called in the police. She did get into drugs etc (though she luckily grew out of it and turned out alright as an adult).

If there had been a 10pmm curfew I know who would have been obeying it and it would NOT have been my sister or her friends it would have been me and mine. My sister was scared of nothing and would have gone out anyway.

I think a 10pm curfew is just not going to work really - not long term anyway and it will just penalise all the normal nice teenagers who are just trying to have a life.
