17 month old had bang on the head - now wont walk/stand

She banged her head on the coffee table on Sunday morning. she cried a lot but after about 10 mins of cuddles, she seemed fine. No lump has come up as expected but she hates being woken up now and doesn't want to stand up or walk or even crawl. as soon as she tries, she cries. Should I be concerned?

Honestly? I think you should be at A&E.

LouiseBrooks · 20/01/2015 13:33

Get her to the doctor. Better safe than sorry.

Gunpowder · 20/01/2015 13:34

Agree with A&E.

I'd go to A and E.

cogitosum · 20/01/2015 13:34

Yes A&E. better safe than sorry. IIRC no lump is more worrying as it means it's gone inwards rather than come out.

SunnyBaudelaire · 20/01/2015 13:34

on Sunday?
A and E now!

306235388 · 20/01/2015 13:35

She hasn't walked since Sunday and is unusually sleepy???

A&E

sockmatcher · 20/01/2015 13:36

A&E Immediately as make it clear it was Sunday ffs

Flywheel · 20/01/2015 13:36

Do not hesitate. They could well be unrelated but you MUST get this checked out now

invisiblecrown · 20/01/2015 13:51

get to A&E!! You daughter hasn't walked since SUNDAY? Shock

FoodieMum3 · 20/01/2015 14:13

Yes, you should be concerned.

I truly hope that it's unrelated and she's brewing something but really, you MUST bring her to A&E straight away.

mariesatonhisknee · 20/01/2015 14:13

Hope you're on your way to a+e op

loudarts · 20/01/2015 14:17

She needs to be checked over by a Dr. Hope she is ok

EternalBeauPlate · 20/01/2015 14:18

A and E now!

GingerCuddleMonster · 20/01/2015 14:20

Any head injury in a child should be looked at, I know you think oh it's just a bump on the head but you should always get it checked, even if it's a quick trip to the gp or a and e depending on severity.

it's sounds like a possible concussion.

RoseberryTopping · 20/01/2015 14:20

Everything ok OP? Hope she's ok x

Endler32 · 20/01/2015 14:23

I hope the child gas been taken to a&e, hope all is ok xx

Hobby2014 · 20/01/2015 14:25

Hope all is ok OP x

ShadowSpiral · 20/01/2015 14:30

Hope you're at a&e getting your DD checked, OP.

Hope she's okay.

34PinkLadyApple · 20/01/2015 14:58

She has only just in the last 2 weeks starting walking, I maybe should have made that clear... would you still suggest A & E? She's with her grand parents today as I'm at work and they say she's happy enough, sitting and playing and had a normal nap but wont stand or walk.

SunnyBaudelaire · 20/01/2015 14:59

I would take her applelady. Leave work now and take her.

BaconandEgg · 20/01/2015 15:03

At a minimum, I would take her to the GP. Ideally, A&E. Even if she doesn't have concussion, she may have broken a bone which precludes her standing up without pain.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 20/01/2015 15:04

Yes of course take her

CoolCat2014 · 20/01/2015 15:13

Yes take her to get checked. Better safe than sorry!

shushpenfold · 20/01/2015 15:16

Get her checked at the GP's as a minimum precaution....today.
