Gingernut, I don't think I'd take a photo of that pose! Just as well she wasn't a bit older and brought it downstairs to show everyone!

gingernutlover · 03/10/2006 10:08

lol - yes now trying to think of a better hidey place!

please noone report me to SS

When I worked for Ann Summers, DS1 who was 3 at the time used to help me put the batteries in the vibrators. He didnt know what they were so it wasnt a problem.

gingernutlover · 03/10/2006 10:26

lol at your DS - feel better about it now. I had to phone dh quick to tell him as I couldn't stop laughing - obviously couldn'#t tell anyone else that actually knows who I am

She must be teething.

Tommy · 03/10/2006 14:29

when I moved into my house, my friend helped me move and we found her daughter (about 16m) in my new bedroom chewing packets of condoms.....

gingernutlover · 03/10/2006 14:47

yes pretty candles you must be right, think I should pack it in her nursery bag?

ROFL at your dd and Bugmum's post!

shhhh · 03/10/2006 15:51

Thats funny..!!! Well I ran dd a bath last week. I gathered all her bath stuff together and when I got into the bathroom dd had thrown a bunch of condoms into the bath..! Whats the obsession..??!!

Elibean · 03/10/2006 17:23

I shouldn't have clicked on your post: 30 wks pregnant, full bladder, baby in breech position and kicking, and a bad cough - am going to have to start wearing incontinence pads before going on MN!
Don't forget to file this one away to threaten to tell dd's friends about when you want her to behave as an unruly teenager...she'll be even more embarrassed than you..

Elibean · 03/10/2006 17:24

Bugmum

How did you find out?!?

Bugmum · 03/10/2006 17:27

Elibean - it was in his school bag when she emptied it!! So then he told her what he'd done... Apparently, the teacher didn't say a word

TarkaTheHeadlessOtter · 03/10/2006 17:35

my son got a condom out of his pocket the other day - he is 3

Thank god for this thread!! I feel more normal now. DS1 who is 8 had his friends round and they were playing on ps2 in my room. That night, ds2 screamed and refused to go into my room at bed time. Upon investigation, it turned out that ds1 and his friends had told him an alien would come to get him through the night. Trying to reassure him I said there were no aliens but he screamed it was under the bed. All I could find was my rampant rabbit and pulled that out. He went up like a blue light, screamed hysterically and ran downstairs absolutely shaking to the bone. I had to tell him that it was a cake mixer.
Before he was born, dd came down stairs with it whirring away, and said infront of everyone what is this. I told her it was a cake mixer and to this day they still ask when we can bake cakes with that funny cake mixer!!

LOL @ cake mixer. Must be for muff ins.

Loshad · 04/10/2006 10:07

that's funny, at least she didn't know what the plaything was. My ds aged 12 found my vibrator whilst playing hide and seek - worse still he knew what it was and told his best mate

misdee · 04/10/2006 10:09

i had just cleaned my mooncup and left it on the side of the sink so i could take it through to steralise it, and dd3 grabbed it and went to chew on it.

TinyGang · 04/10/2006 10:10

Loshad - that is beyond embarrassing!

Loshad · 04/10/2006 10:54

don't = I'm mortified and just waiting for him to tell one of the teachers if he hasn't already

PrettyCandles · 04/10/2006 13:20

This thread has confirmed to me my suspicion that I am right to keep certain things in inconvenient places. I may not be able to lay hands on them the instant I need them, but then neither can any LOs!

BTW Gingernutlover, you can get vibrating teethers!
