Dd [2.8] snuggled up to me on the sofa yesterday and said 'I love you mama, you are my best girl friend'. It made my heart melt and the tears well up! What is the nicest thing your little one has said to you?

That's sooooooo sweet.

Ds1 said to me once "I wish I was a girl, mummy." "Why?" "because then I could be you." I think he was just 3.

edam · 12/08/2006 09:36

Aw, that's lovely.

Ds aged 2.5: 'I want to marry you when I'm a grown-up boy'. Made my heart melt a bit!

colditz · 12/08/2006 09:38

"Mummy, I like you. You're my boy."

(when I am cuddling him I tell him he is my special big boy, he obviously feels the love and has decided 'boy' is an affectionate name meaning 'special one')

Oh, and multitudes of clothes and shoes, usually pink, and always fluffy or sparkly, "That's nice for you Mummy, try it on!"

honeychild · 12/08/2006 15:34

Would you like me to make you a cup of tea?

beckybrastraps · 12/08/2006 15:43

ds, 2-ish:

Mummy, you're the cake and I'm the cherry

justamum · 12/08/2006 17:36

a few weeks ago a put on a skirt- a rare thing, my ds looked me up & down and said "mummy pretty" it made my day!

Elibean · 12/08/2006 17:44

dd 2.7 to me: 'best friend in the world, you, Mummy'

dd to dh, last night whilst on potty: 'Daddy, want see wiggly thing in you throat please' (she has cartoon picture of screeching cat with open mounth/dangling uvula in a book, and was fascinated).

dh obligingly opens mouth wide.

dd: 'Oh Daddy, like your uvula, very pretty'

I think I prefer my compliment!

Tili · 12/08/2006 19:19

My dd (20 months) when she wakes up in the morning instead of crying like she used to she now lays there saying 'mummy I love you', makes my heart melt and when I rush in to get her she jumps up and gives me a huge cudde and kiss, so sweet!
