Dd [2.8] snuggled up to me on the sofa yesterday and said 'I love you mama, you are my best girl friend'. It made my heart melt and the tears well up! What is the nicest thing your little one has said to you?

Dd: Mummy,I'm going to marry Bobit and every night we're going to have a sleepover with you.

hockeymum · 13/08/2006 06:44

DD asked me yesterday when she would be a big mummy like me and I said "oh in about 25 years, and then I'll be a granny" she burst into tears and said "I want you to always be my mummy, I never want you to be a granny, you're my best thing EVER don't be different"

Oh and picking up my hooded cardigan when I was in hospital having DS she smelled it and said to DH, "Oh daddy it smells of my best mummy, she is so pretty, I'm going to keep it in my bed"

Have to say though, the thing that made me cry most was my friends son. She adopted 2 children last summer aged 4 and 3. Things couldnt be going better for them, they are all so happy and the children are wonderful. The boy, now 5 said "Oh I love you mummy, I just really wish I could have been in your tummy and been with you for always, I missed you before you were my mummy" That made me cry more than anything as it is so special they are a family now

DD (4.5) often tells me she likes/loves me and I'm her best Mummy ever cos I'm the only Mummy she has. Kind of brings a lump to my throat! She has also just decided that having a baby sister (dd2 is 6 months old) is Ok and she 'quite likes havng a baby in the house!!' Her latest is that she never wants to leave our house and still wants to live in it when she is a big girl! Hmmmmm! She also said this morning 'I'm going to be a good girl today and use my brain and think of you and Daddy and not just myself'! We live in hope!

Ds just poked his head round the door while I was having a bath (lovely lie-in) and said 'I really like you mummy'. Aw.

ds1 (3.6) said to me today whilst I was in the kitchen 'you're scrummy mummy. I love you all the way to the sink and back again'!!!
Then giggled like mad and revised it to 'all the way to the moon and back' although I think the first version is actually sweeter!

Snozcumber · 13/08/2006 22:05

My dd1 (20 months) said 2 dd2 (3 months)
I love you sis, we friends!

Made me all warm inside at my 'big girl'

Frizbe · 13/08/2006 22:12

dd1 2.9, loves me 'mint sauce' with her arms open wide, this became a joke between us, when she was learning to speak, as she couldn't say, 'this much' without it sounding like 'mint sauce'

My 3 are off with their dad camping for a couple of days, and DD (5) wrote me a note saying "I hope you have a lovely time on your own. Good-by, love DD xxxx". bless her.

My dd1 (3) said to me "I'm proud of you, Mummy." Another time she gave dd2 a hug and said "I'm proud of my little sister." She has also said that she wants to marry dd2.
