when did your lo sleep separately?

how long til you put your lo in their own room away from you at night? guidelines say at least 6 weeks but I've heard people doing it before that and it working well.

Well thanks to this thread we put DD into her own room 3 nights ago, and wow. I can't believe the difference. It's still a nightmare getting her to go to sleep at night, but once she's down, she's only waking a couple of times through the night and only feeding once. In our room, she was waking and wanting to feed practically every 90 minutes! Thanks everyone who posted saying their DC slept better in a separate room!
