i caught my DD today (13) doing something i am almost ashamed to write. i decided not to change my name - becuase, well.. you would guess by the spelling mistakes, i am almost bside myself.

i walked into the living room and she was watching........Coronation street.

this shock has come only weeks after my DS has become addicted to eastenders whiolst athis girlfriends.

i thought it was bad when he was smoking drugs - but this is almost too much to bare.

can someone help?

i'm sorry, custardo, but once they're watching easties and corrie, they're a lost cause.

Hallgerda · 09/05/2006 20:08

I understand from another thread that more aspirational soaps are available from Waitrose - send your DD and DS there forthwith!

Tortington · 09/05/2006 23:20

i can't imagine what you must be going through.
there must be support groups who could help you-i'm sure there are lots of people whose relatives have similar addictions.
I think the potato idea is good.
I also think you need to keep him away from chocolate-particularly cadburys.it might trigger the cravings.
thinking of you((((00000)))))

Tortington · 10/05/2006 09:55

meowmix · 10/05/2006 10:52

unicorn · 10/05/2006 10:54

am going to see if Dr Tanya can help you Custy...
think you may be too late for the House of Tiny Tearaways, but perhaps she will do a special home visit (with many cameras to shame you of course)and make a one off programme about the Mother who Failed.
If you are beyond help, well, I guess we'll have to lock you up in the MN Prison and throw away the key.

Marina · 10/05/2006 10:55

Make sure none of them get hold of repeats of Blakes Seven and Tenko then custy.
