help!

dd2 has sleep issues, she has shared a room with dd1 for years. lately dd2 seep problems have involved high pitched screeching for hours at a time. dd1 is fed up wih it. but what can i do? dd3 has her own room, but i cant put dd2 in there as there isnt enough room.

Put dd2 in dd3's room and have dd1 sharing with dd3?

Would that work?

Pixiefish · 21/03/2006 15:57

Perhaps you should try and put dd1 and 3 together and put dd2 on her own

misdee · 21/03/2006 15:59

the rooms are small. currently dd1 has a high sleeper and dd2 sleeps in an extenable bed underneath.

but dd3 still cries at night, so really dd1 wouldnt be getting any peace.

bunk beds in dd3's room?

or a little put up bed you could fold up under dd3's bed for the meanwhile so dd1 can get some sleep?

ssd · 21/03/2006 16:01

X - posts there!

could dd1 sleep in the living room on a sofa bed or in with you 2 in a put up bed?

ssd · 21/03/2006 16:01

PS how old are they all?

misdee · 21/03/2006 16:01

dd3 is in a cot.

i hate the lack of space in here. i cant even put dd3 in with me so dd2 can have her room, theres just no space.

OP posts:
misdee · 21/03/2006 16:02

dd1 is 6, dd2 is 3, dd3 is 1.

dd1 in ss3's room on her own.

dd2 and dd3 in the other room.

would that work?!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 21/03/2006 16:04

oops -sorry already seen thats no good!

misdee · 21/03/2006 16:05

not enough space for a cot and bed in wither room. can onyl put dd1+2 together as dd2 bed is underneath. the rooms are about 9ftx9ft max, dd3 room is 9x8.

this situation is killing us. i dont have enough space for peter and his equipment either. this is going to be a nightmare. the council dont have any other larger bungalows except for next door (5bed) but they wont be going anywhere for years.

OP posts:
Bozza · 21/03/2006 16:07

What about DD1 in DD3's room and DDs 2&3 in together?

Bozza · 21/03/2006 16:08

Sorry x-posted - wouldn't the cot go under a high bed?

Any chance of the council building you an extension?

misdee · 21/03/2006 16:10

dont hold oput hope fior an extension tbh. it would really help us a lot, but i just dont they wil ldo it. dd2 has an OT coming out in a firtnight, do you think they would help?

Any chance of private rented housing?

misdee · 21/03/2006 18:31

Nope. cant afford the rents. this palce is meant to be our home. i like it here. its suitable for peter as its all on one level, and we fought tooth and nail to get it. dont want to give it up.

Is there any furniture that can go in he hall?

Can some of the furniture move from 1 room to the other (ie have DD1 with all DD2&3's clothes or toys)?

misdee · 21/03/2006 18:44

hallways need to be clear for peters machine. i just want to put in a transfer for a 4 bed house, and that way peter wil lhave room downstairs, but i cant do it. i cant move house without Peters input. he doesnt want to move anyway.

OP posts:
ssd · 21/03/2006 19:07

misdee sorry for being nosey and thick, what is Peters machine?

sorry if this is an insensitive question, ignore me if you want.

misdee · 21/03/2006 19:08

Its an LVAD. its a heart pump that is keeping his heart going tm. he is hoping to come hoem with it.

ssd · 21/03/2006 19:10

I see.

Sad

hope you find a solution to your space problems

ssd x x x

misdee · 21/03/2006 22:37

peter has suggested we tryand exchange for a 4bed house if the coucil wont extend. but it would need to have downstairs loo and sperate dining room so he could have a bed i nthere. round here that will be hard to come by.

OP posts:
starlover · 21/03/2006 22:40

misdee you ought to be able to fit a cot and bed in a 9ftx9ft room (ythough appreciate you wouldn't get much else in)

misdee · 21/03/2006 22:41

i wouldnt have anywhere to put the wardrobe. and because of the position of the door i cant ever put the bed along 2 of the walls, so it leaves one place to put it.
