'mummy i dont want to share with dd2 anymore as she screams at night'

help!

dd2 has sleep issues, she has shared a room with dd1 for years. lately dd2 seep problems have involved high pitched screeching for hours at a time. dd1 is fed up wih it. but what can i do? dd3 has her own room, but i cant put dd2 in there as there isnt enough room.

I'm nominating misdee for Saint hood :)

starlover · 21/03/2006 22:43

can she sleep in your bed with you?

misdee · 21/03/2006 22:44

cheers piffle, does a house come with that? lol

i am pretty stressed by it all tbh, this was meant to be our ideal home. VAD wasnt an option when we moved here, and we didnt know the extent of dd2 problems and how it would affect the other 2. she really does need her own room away from the other 2, for their sanity really.

dd1 has been sleeping in my bed on the really bad nights. but when peter comes home he wont have anywhere to sleep then.

OP posts:
starlover · 21/03/2006 22:47

what is the time scale for peter coming home?

short term having one of the girls in with you may do the trick yes? and maybe she will stop the screeching before he comes home...

only other thing i can tjhink of is putting dd3 in proper bed with guards on...

misdee · 21/03/2006 23:03

2months time hopefully.

if only i could sort out dd2 sleep problems in 2 months. she is currently on vallergan, which does help but doesnt stop all the screeching. she is being assessed soon for ASD as she is showing a few traits. i did considering putting the cot under the high bed and put dd2 on the top bunk, but then dd2 is only 3 and very clumsey.

OP posts:
starlover · 21/03/2006 23:08

i reckon put the cot undetr the high bed and have dd1 and 3 sharing.
ok, so dd3 still wakes in the night... but that's gotta be better than the screeching right?

misdee · 21/03/2006 23:09

probably. will give it a go after holidays if things havent calmed down (whens full moon?)

OP posts:
starlover · 21/03/2006 23:10

moon is waning at the moment... so not for a while!

misdee · 21/03/2006 23:10

oh thanks goodness, should be ok-ish when we are away.

sparklymieow · 21/03/2006 23:11

eeekkk, at the thought of your dd2 on the high bed... but then I thought the same at Ds on a top bunk.

misdee · 21/03/2006 23:13

yes, but that high bed is very high.

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 21/03/2006 23:14

mmmmmm what about taking my triple sleeper, putting Dd3 on the bottom bunk, its a bigger bed, and then putting dd2 on the top bunk (not as high as your bed)

misdee · 21/03/2006 23:17

dd3 isnt safe yet to be put on a bed.

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 21/03/2006 23:20

dunno then..

sparklymieow · 21/03/2006 23:21

is there a way of getting a bed lower than the high bed and slotting the cot underneath

misdee · 21/03/2006 23:24

possibly, just not sure atm

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 21/03/2006 23:33

what about getting \link{http://www.bargaincrazy.com/bcrazy/product.asp?brand=bcrazy&cat%5Fid=3019&zone%5Fid=&prod%5Fid=10519&seq=5&page=&OrderBy=&offer%5Fid=&source%5Fcode=&publication%5Fcode=&leaflet=&extra=&mscs_sid=92M5Q9AREJG79JGM3LLJ7CDXQAV64VB0\this} reinforcing the bottom (dad will know how) and putting the cot underneath.

misdee · 21/03/2006 23:36

but i dont want to buy another bed Sad

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 21/03/2006 23:39

I think with those sort, the base will be too low to put dd3 underneath.
