Mine goes at 9.00 to wash her face and brush her teeth. Gets into bed at 9.15 lights out at 9.30 and she's usually asleep by 9.30.

bedtime usually is around 9-10 on weekdays. at 8:30 brushing teeth and getting ready for school the next day happens for about half an hour. from 9-10 they read and. settle down in bed. 10:30 is MAX and lights out!! this is our school sleep schedule

for weekends, kids watch tv from 6-8 and then settle down by 9. from 9-10:30 they read, and from. 10:30-11:00 is lights out.

on holidays, rules are the same except reading is from 10-10:30 and lights out is supposed to be at 11:00 but may end up (somehow) becoming 11:30 or 12!

Personally i think it is cruel for a parent to make a child over the age of 10 go to bed earlier then 9 o-clock because they are not a young child anymore and children 11 and up are even sometimes awake until 2 am. I know i was when i was that age. You might think you know they spent all day in there room anyway what is the difference but there is a big difference your child wont feel babied anymore, they might feel a bit more grown up, and that feeling of being a bit more grown up with a later bed time might make them do more grown up decisions or stop making childish decisions. But this is my opinion and at the end of the day it's down to you as a parent to make that decision but i hope this has helped you out as to what to set your child's bed time at personally i would say 10:00-10:30.
