As was accused by friend after admitting to cutting vests off dd after nappy explosion rather than do the inside out roll, have to bath and wash her hair etc. Plus don't have to wash said vests either. Friend horrified. Am I a bad person?

i do the same, moon.

as the girls grown, i cut up their old muslin clothes and hem them to use as rags.

when they're well and truly knackered, well, bernardo's has textile recycling.

i just don't see the point in wasting resources.

i bought loads of cheap wash cloths from ikea moondog. they have little tags tp hang them up so i wont get them confused with other cloths. mind you, the stains on them now mean they wont ever get mixed up. roll on summer and then the sun can bleach the stains out.

Quite expat.
Actually, have just put a whole load of seeds to sprout on one of ds's reusable nappies.
I think it will do the job perfectly.

Oh and me misdee.
Bet yours aren't as bad as mine. I hide them if people call by. Grin

Moondog those rags could be reused if washed. Why don't you cut squares of newspaper with which to wipe your baby's bottom?

moondog · 14/03/2006 10:27

Good thinking dd..
Hang on though,I already use newspapers as insulators in my childrens clothes..

DumbledoresGirl · 14/03/2006 10:28

Not blankets on the bed then? Grin

misdee · 14/03/2006 10:29

i use newspapers for guinea pig bedding. its a good insulator, and free when the free paper pops through the door.
