See what I did there? :o

How's everyone doing? I am several weeks behind with no motivation whatsoever.

I'm not sure yet! They looked quite similar to me Blush (yes, always interested please, I still haven't got anything from my tutor!)

Pages and pages and pages of notes. I've been practising my handwriting and using lots of different coloured pens.

The words are really good. I wonder if I just submitted some really good words and phrases, not worrying too much about joining them together, how that would go down?

Maybe not...

did you get the notes fuzz?

wildstrawberryplace · 14/05/2012 11:16

Starting writing this morning at 9.30.

300 words so far. Intro done. Have to write 12 times what I have done already, by midnight tomorrow. I can do this! Have selected quotes for discussion and now going for coffee break.

Good luck to those folk writing today. I'll be signing in periodically to punctuate the slog.

gingergran · 14/05/2012 11:36

just keep going wildstrawberryplace - it is amazing how much can be done if we don't allow ourselves to get distracted - says me on mumsnet instead of working! back to the grindstone now...

tumbleweedblowing · 14/05/2012 14:10

Right, I'm putting this in writing, because I may actually feel I have to do it then.

I have an essay plan. I have the bones of an introduction, and I know my conclusion.

Not coming back till I have a fully formed intro, and section 1 done.

Honest. No lurking, no browsing on rightmove, no more biscuits till I have something on paper.

juneybean · 14/05/2012 14:35

My last tma went in last tuesday and now I'm looking at something for autumn, I'm interested in the Reading and Studying Literature but I haven't done literature since GCSE, is it a bit of a ridiculous thing to do?

wildstrawberryplace · 14/05/2012 14:51

I don't think so juney. I think it's always good to go for things that spark your interest.

Got just over 1000 words now and more of an idea of what I'm doing. School run and chess club now, more wordage after dinner I think.

wildstrawberryplace · 14/05/2012 23:32

1800 words. I reckon I'm gonna call it a night now - took me about half an hour to write the last sentence. Law of diminishing returns.

gingergran · 15/05/2012 08:55

well done strawberry -nearly done. when you have finished would you mind doing my TMA for me?

tumbleweedblowing · 15/05/2012 15:04

Phew. Half way there, but the small people will be in from school in half an hour. Parent consultations at school tonight - seems almost attractive compared to finding another 1000 words.

I'm going back in...

wildstrawberryplace · 15/05/2012 18:50

3400 now. Just have conclusion to do then biblio. Should bump the word count up to over 3600 which is fine (need 3500 to 4000).

Feels a bit of crazy garble though Confused

Just popping to corner shop for chocolate and coca cola some milk and bread, WILL finish tonight.

chipmunksex · 15/05/2012 20:30

Yay well done strawberry. Brew

wildstrawberryplace · 15/05/2012 23:47

Blimey, skin of teeth job there. Took me an absolute age to reference the thing. Submitted it with 15 mins to spare, but by jiminy I submitted the bugger.

fuzzpig · 16/05/2012 06:28

Well done all... I haven't even found my books yet! Think I'll be asking for my first extension this time.

Thank you very much for the email ginger :) Thanks - I'm going to email my tutor and ask if there's anything from the tutorial I missed.

Phew, going to put it to one side for a couple of hours while I do the ballet and swimming runs, and a meeting at school, then that's it TMA06 is off, and I've only the exam to worry about.

wildstrawberryplace · 16/05/2012 23:54

Hope you're doing OK tumbleweed.

Just realised I have a creative writing TMA due tomorrow, well I mean I knew it was due but I'd put it to the back of my mind as more easily doable in a day. 2,500 short story. Can't wait Confused

tumbleweedblowing · 17/05/2012 16:59

Thanks, I got it in a 9.55 last night. Very pleased, and better than that played about with the OCAS calculator, and I only need to get 16% to keep a pass 2! Given that I've put my name on it, it has an intro, and conclusion, and references, I should be fine. All I need to do then is get a pass 2 for the exam and I'm laughing!! 3 weeks revision to go.

tumbleweedblowing · 17/05/2012 17:00

Ooops.

Hope you got yours in. I've never had to do a short story, but would think 2500 words could come together ok if you had time to think. I hope so for you!

wildstrawberryplace · 17/05/2012 17:39

Well done tumbleweed. The OCAS calculator is pretty cool isn't it?

Yeah, just submitted - wasn't too bad in the doing. Hopefully it's not total crap.

Wahey!

Just the EMA on 31st May and then the small matter of the exam for the other course I'm doing but tonight it's kickin' back time Wine

wildstrawberryplace · 20/05/2012 11:14

I just signed up for next year's courses - A300 (20th century lit) and A230 (Reading and studying literature)

fuzzpig · 20/05/2012 12:31

I might do a300 as my last course - can't decide between that and maths
