Sorry I want a moan.

I love my kids and I'm glad I'm here at home for them.

ButI'm sick of the washing/ironing/cooking/hoovering/dishes/tidying up etc etc. we live in a tiny house so I need to keep it tidy otherwise I can't move.

How the hell do you manage if you work full time, when does it get done?

I always thought that when I quit work to be a SAHM that I would have such a fantastic routine. You know do this room Monday that room Tuesday. Even bought the cardboard to write it all up.
Now I cant find it in the kitchen, the dishes are still on the sink and dp has just arrived home from work. Theres wet washing waiting in the machine but it looks like rain. Think it can all wait until tomorrow!!! or until I have a temper tantrum later on tonight and become the matyr of housework banging pots and pans in vain for somebodys help:0

BOSSCAT come to my house, you'll be in your element if you like cleaning

Bozza · 24/01/2006 10:00

I think people saying that your house stays clean if you are work all day are being a bit over-simplistic although there is some truth in it. There is still a meal to cook and the laundry to keep on top of and the shopping to buy/order. And it does take some effort to have a cooked from scratch meal for four on the table 15 minutes after walking into the house with two under 5s.

I don't work full time though but working 3 days I can recognise the challenge of keeping on top of the cooking/shopping/washing.

pmsl @bosscat i love housework but can never get on top of it . have 3 dd's 8,4,7m , fella and i have to argue for him to help.
nothing like the feeling of a nice clean house. saying that i live in a flat and if i didnt tidy and keep organised i think i would lose the kids under a pile of clutter

drosophila · 24/01/2006 10:41

If you spent less time on MN.......

PeachyClair · 24/01/2006 10:47
