OK so I had today free for starting my TMA and I have so far done some completely pointless Christmas shopping, and mumsnetted and that is it. So cross with myself grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I haven't got a TMA due this month-I have a week off for Christmas this year, what a treat, last year I had to just push straight through.

But will be attempting to pretend to have a deadline of 31st December, so I don't have a complete meltdown this time.

Not sure it'll work, I set my alarm clock early to try and trick myself into getting up early, but I always just look at it and think 'ah but it's ten mins fast, just one more snooze won't hurt.'

I've done absolutely nothing since I haven't submitted my last tma. Got one due on the 19th and then another in the beginning of January. I really need to look for a job as well. So far I've been Christmas shopping and baking lots of cakes

Me too winny. I have a TMA on Jane Eyre due 13th and on the creative writing side I am to admit I haven't even looked at any course material since I handed in my last A215 TMA. Ridiculous. Really haven't got the hang of this. Always flying by the seat of my pants. Is that even the right expression?

I waste so much time. I feel I should be looking for a job and studying and I end up thinking I haven't got enough time for either and do nothing

Haven't even thought about what I'm going to write for the next A215 TMA. And shouldn't we be working on our EMA as well?

I have an iCMA due on the 15th that I need to read a Unit for. Then I have TMA01 due on Jan 5th that I really need to make a start on. It's just soooo dull atm. The first 5 units are basically a recap of my previous course but I can't just ignore them because they present them slightly differently . Oh and there's so many errors, lots of iCMA options have been pulled for not being correctly worded, lots of bickering on the forum over everything...bit fed up of it tbh

My TMA's due on the 16th but our lovely tutor said we can have extension til the 19th as it's Christmas etc. I'll need it as I haven't done any prep at all. Poetry of the 30s.

And the CW tma- arrgh. I don't know where to start: I need a job, I need to photograph and put on ebay the mountain of DD's baby clothes, I need to study, I need to but Christmas gifts...argh.

WSP - yeah. I do all sorts of crafts (crochet, felting, dyeing, quilting, sewing, knitting, jewellery making) but the clothy bit comes from using cloth nappies on my kids.

An iCMA is an interactive computer marked assignment. It's basically multiple choice but everyone keeps bickering over the wording of the questions and we've had about 5 options removed so far for being ambiguous/wrong .

Sneaks round the corner looking for motivation to get on with this course that is supposed to be filling in the time, but I'm just not feeling the love for.

ARGHHHHH. Why, oh why has dd2 decided she's going to refuse to nap when I have an assignment due and 55 pages to read before I can do it???

Feeling rather fed up with it all atm. The course is shite not of the same standard as the previous one, the credits aren't really going to count towards my degree (have credit transfer from previous degree which covers level 1 & 2 so only taking this as a pre-requisite for a level 3 module) and I have no idea how I'm going to manage overlapping it with a level 3 module from Jan

It's rather a bleak midwinter here too - no work done, impossible to do with a dancing prancing excited end of termy DS. Waiting for DH to return tomorrow then will crack on.

Have made a lovely lined, padded Christmas stocking with applique name on it for my baby nephew though. That proscrastination actually feels worth it!

I'm on an extention again but have been ill so not got anything done, plus DS has been ill and then the convalescence was worse than the illness - clingy, cantankerous, demanding of attention all the time and that was just me.

So I have one day to do my essay, just one day including all the reading and prep and writing. And that day is tomorrow. Shit.

Argh I now have one day of peace to write my essay argghhh!

So I've been reading and thinking so far (90% of writing is thinking, right?) and hope to start writing after lunch. Trying not get stressed about it, and I'm sure I can come up with 1500 words (having thought it was 2000 originally, which is like a bonus 25% reduction of requirements overnight - to spin it positively )

I'm on extension (well, I hope I am as the tutor hasn't replied to confirm ) til tomorrow. Was supposed to do it today. DP in bed all day with a horrendous headache, so had to take care of DD. Now DP is in A&E, waiting for blood results (has headache, stiff neck etc) so I'm here waiting and trying not to go mad with worry (I thought he had a man flu...) so...I'll have to read the coursebook chapters, essays and loads of poems and write the essay to tomorrow. And as it's school holidays already...of for fuck's sake

Aw jeez winny that's awful. I hope your DP is OK. Hope it's just (just!) a migraine or something rather than something really serious. A&E sounds the best place for him.

My TMA is on Jane Eyre (I had a weeks extension which runs out tomorrow night need to get on the case) I had Red Bull to get me going, I had a brief burst of energy and now just feel blinky and have indigestion .

I've also got the double shocker of the A215 thing due on 5th Jan (nothing done so far) plus another TMA on Middlemarch (which I haven't read since 1992!) due on 11th. So feeling very stress-tive rather than festive.

Totally with you on the school holidays thing it's hair raising.

Poor you. I didn't even check when the next a300 tma is due. I've done absolutely FA with regards to the a215 one.

What's the JE question? I remember agonising over it a year ago, even though it seemed very simple before I had sat down to write it.

DP still has a horrid headache and is waiting for blood results which should come back very shortly. I'm hoping it's just a migraine, but he has never had one before.

Right, I better go and read some Auden. Can't really concentrate, though.
