Hope you gt it finished WSP.

Winny - hope your dp is ok.

Kids seem to be hyper today. Dd1 is constantly hungry (which is ironic cos she won't eat much) so it's hard to concentrate on anything. Have a TMA due on Jan 5th that I haven't even looked at Blush and still need to finish reading Unit 5.

Course materials for next course arrived on Saturday too and there are 5 scarily thick books. It'll be my first level 3 course and I'm starting to panic about the workload Hmm. I was hoping to be much further ahead with the Level 2 course by now.

Got my assignment back today, I got a B!! (Despite my procrastination)
(First assignment, year 1 of my masters programme, having never done a degree- when I did my nurse training back in the stone age, I qualified with a certificate in nursing)
I am so pleased, because I suffer from that thing where you are sure that some day someone will realise you are a fraud.

Yay, well done, Melty!

How's it going, WSP?

I just kicked DP out of the house, he's taken DD for a walk, so I an have some peace to work.

10 hours left Hmm

Oh, and DP's much beter today. They said it was probably a migraine. It was quite scary, though, he looked awful yesterday.

wildstrawberryplace · 19/12/2011 16:41

Glad he's better winny. Good luck with your writing ..triple Brew Brew Brews!

Have done the TMA but not referenced it or done biblio, that's my job for tonight, usually takes me a while as well so Brews for me too.

Well done melty! What a nice result to take you home for Christmas Wine

Thanks for the encouragement yesterday schroeder. You're up to date at the moment aren't you?

Thanks, I am delighted. :)
Thats good work WSP, I am rigid about my references. I write them down as I use them. (I put them in order once I've finished, but knowing exactly how bad I am at leaving things to the very last minute, its one thing I actually do as I go.)
My next assignment is due on the 30th January,
"Critically review the research design, findings and conclusions made in two specified research papers, and reflect on how the research questions posed by the authors could have been approached from different methodological perspectives.?
We were given the paper on Thursday, and I have a lot of reading to do now. (How I am going to write 3-5k words I am not sure)
I've had a glance through and I don't actually understand some of the terminology being used, so I have to go back and rewatch the lectures we had. I kind of listened as I did other stuff so didn't really pay enough attention. Plus Research Methods = not exactly exciting stuff.
My tutor put up a lecture, and on one of the slides said, read chaper 2 and 3 before the next tutorial, which was on the Thursday.
I watched the lecture on the Wednesday night, accessed the chapters from the e-library, and realised I had 75 pages of stuff I don't understand to read for the next day. Procrastination getting me into trouble yet again. Blush

I have ordered the module textbook, which we are supposed to have read before starting the assignment, (Might explain some of the unintelligible language of research for me!) through Amazon, meant to have been delivered on the 15th, and I checked today, to be told that apparently "Customer Refused Delivery" last week. Bloody Home Delivery Network. Spent half an hour on the phone to Amazon whinging, and it should be delivered tomorrow.
I am out tomorrow night, have work Christmas party on Wed, and am off to Ireland on Thursday until the 3rd January. So not much time for reading there.....

wildstrawberryplace · 19/12/2011 21:34

Phew, submitted.

Now to see if I leave it until the last minute next time...

Well done. You can breathe for a bit. Doesn't seem much time between the next few though.
Have you much work to do to before you get stuck in?

winnybella · 19/12/2011 22:30

Grrrrr. I have just realised that I don't like the way the coursebook is written. So fucking boring. It talks about interesting problems and yet is so fucking dry.

Haven't got a chance of submitting tonight. I guess I'll try to write the best part of it, but no way will I be able to send it in an hour and a half.

Well done, WSP.

craftynclothy · 22/12/2011 12:07

Shock Melty, that sounds tough. And HDN are fucking useless awful couriers.

Got my mark back on my iCMA (5.67/7) and am a bit naffed off. Yet again I've managed to tick the wrong box (as in tick the box on the line above) and it has negative marking so it's cost me twice iyswim. Oh and one answer which was apparently discussed on the forum I got wrong. On searching for the discussion I've found it was a month ago and on page 3 of the forum - I obviously need a better memory Hmm

I was expecting to have most of next week to do my assignment but dh has cancelled 2 of his days off so he can get stuff done at work so I expect I shall be doing my assignment on Boxing Day.
