Discipline - how do you discipline your kids???

And do you ever feel guilty when you have shouted at them?

I've instituted yet another new system.

Behaviour chart. 10 areas. Getting dressed, table manners, etc. If they get 7 smiley faces, they get a star for that day. If they get 5 stars per week (out of 7) they get to buy a comic on Sunday.

Bad behaviour = grumpy face on chart, naughty step and confiscation of toy for 3 days. Toys which are left on the floor and not put away automatically get confiscated and put in the cellar. (Their toybox are looking severely depleted, I'm wondering when they'll notice...)

Sorry, bad behaviour = one of those things, not all three (unless it escalates and goes mad - that hasn't happened yet though).
