For me it was giving ds2 a dummy, was always dead against them, then ds2 had one for 4 years! Talk about eating your words!
What did you do?

Bottlefeed (when pg with DS1 I was compltely 'against' the idea )
Give sweets
Have the TV on all day
Have them share a room

Katemum · 12/09/2005 14:16

Let him have anything to do with power rangers, the stuff is now taking over the house.

KateF · 12/09/2005 14:16

Oh yes and buy McDonalds.

KateF · 12/09/2005 14:19

1 hour QofQ-I'd kill for that. Dd3 never manages more than 20 minutes unless I lie there with her

Let them sleep in my bed.

feed their tantrums with attention

bribe them

let them eat in the living room

Aragon · 12/09/2005 14:21

He wasn't going to have a dummy
I wasn't going to bottlefeed
I wasn't going to let him watch TV all day
I wasn't going to give in ever to tantrums (oh yeah)
lick a tissue and clean his face

I could go on.......

Scatterbrain · 12/09/2005 14:24

Threaten them with the orphanage !

waterfalls · 12/09/2005 14:28

ssd · 12/09/2005 14:28

ScrewballMuppet · 12/09/2005 14:34

gingerbear · 12/09/2005 14:36

Let her eat crap
let her watch TV all day long whilst I mumsnet
let grandad feed her jelly teddies all day long

QueenOfQuotes · 12/09/2005 15:16

Kate - I was hoping he'd sleep longer today as despite being put to bed at 8pm (as per usual) he was STILL up (trying to get a heavy 'bead frane' into his cot ) at 9.45 grrrr

hellsbells4 · 12/09/2005 15:23

Smack them - only did this a few times until we both realised it wasn't working.

Endless TV - dh is the main culprit and it has driven me CRACKERS!

Dummies - dh shoved one into ds's mouth when he was only a couple of weeks old and it stayed for three horrible years. I won the battle not to give dd one

donnie · 12/09/2005 15:25

dummies
disposable nappies
telly/vids/dvds
bribery
brand stuff

all of the above ROCKS !!!!!!
