Firsly, Iceland, what with the collapse of the Icelandic economy, and annoying volcanic ash clouds.
Then France, etc, as the Pound is worth so little agains the Euro (probably our own fault, but hey)

So where do we like at the moment?

Where desrevs the honour of my company for a weekend break?

um... so none of Europe then as they all have the Euro, not just france.

Scotland?

GetOrfMoiLand · 19/04/2010 18:27

I don't like America based purely on Hershey chocolate and Kraft buying Cadbury.

LynetteScavo · 19/04/2010 18:45

Scotland is colder than where I live, and I hate being cold.

There must be somewhere we favour atm.

Switzerland? Fairly neutreal!

Alouiseg · 19/04/2010 18:47

I actually loathe UK at the moment.

Politics, religion, roads, hospitals, schools, (some) people.........

LynetteScavo · 19/04/2010 18:48

Yes, they have no nuclear weapons, but nuclear bunkers. And Toblerones. Switzerland is looking good.

But it is land locked so no Navy rescue for you if things get tricky with flying again.

MmeLindt · 19/04/2010 18:51

Switzerland also has trains that run on time.

Weather is nice at the moment. Some mad Scottish family swimming in the lake this afternoon as the locals looked on in horror.

Greece will glad of some cash

said · 19/04/2010 18:55

Isn't Switzerland a bit racist though???

LynetteScavo · 19/04/2010 18:55

But do they deserve my cash?

Deserve? Dunno, but Greeks are nice

A bit racist, that is sadly true.

MmeLindt · 19/04/2010 19:12

Not all that many Swiss folk around these parts though, more expats than anything else.

Stick to the French speaking areas of CH.

Better chocolate here too.

Sweeedes · 19/04/2010 19:17

Hungary are on the cusp of Greek-style financial tragedy and they aren't in the Euro. So could do with your wonga.

Copenhagen is lovely

Talinn is gorgeous.

LynetteScavo · 19/04/2010 20:38

Isn't Talinn in Finland? I need to know Finland isn't annoying to the rest of the world.

OP posts:
MmeLindt · 19/04/2010 21:02

Tallin is Estonia, I think.

I have absolutely no stereotypes handy for Estonia.

LynetteScavo · 19/04/2010 21:13

Me neither...I hear Fins don't mind nudity, but don't talk a lot, so probably aren't annoying individually.

Greece or Cyprus are winning atm, I think.

OP posts:
MmeLindt · 19/04/2010 21:15

Isn't Finland the European country with the highest suicide rate?

Perhaps all that nudity.

LynetteScavo · 19/04/2010 21:18

No, I think it's the long winter days. When the short summer comes, they get so exited, they run out into the sun and strip off their clothes.

Mullion in cornwall it has a very good climate and you can they have electric sockets the same as at home and sterling is accepted at the same rate as at home. You can almost understand the speach so its pretty easy to undestand what there on about..- don't tell everyone though but the prices are much the same as at home aswell

LynetteScavo · 19/04/2010 21:26

IvyKaty...I could even drive there!

And I have never, ever been annoyed by a Cornish person. The tourists with caravans are another thing, though.....

Although I'm digressing, as I wasn't really looking for un-annoying (can't think of the word now) people, but as country as a whole...I'm sure Icelandic people are perfectly lovely.

Ireland have nice guiness and you can go on a boat.

MmeLindt · 19/04/2010 21:34

Germans are very jolly, have awful great folk musicians, and have a great time at Karneval.

LynetteScavo · 19/04/2010 21:35

No, no, I don't like Guiness, it's far too rainy, and DH had to go there every holiday when he was a child.

And they have the Euro.

So where doesn't have the Euro?
