A few of us struggle to know what the unthinkable's are - come and share so we can avoid messing up!!

What are the topics you shouldn't post about ie. they've been done to death and cause outrage or get you accused of being a troll.

Help us less experienced out there please!!

above £30k, not about!

Thanks, Bella, I think I get it now. So it's ok to start a thread about a thread if it's branching off the conversation, but it's not ok to start a thread about a thread if you're complaining about the op or opinions in the thread.

posie, I think I fit those categories! But my child isn't in school yet. And I'm not worried about it. And my car isn't as small as I'd like, but it's not huge, just more affordable than the smaller car I wanted!

do NOT say retard or moron or i`ll be on your back quicker than a rat up a drainpipe

GrumpyWhenWoken · 01/02/2010 10:26

I've been here a long time and still don't have the confidence to call someone a troll!

Miggsie · 01/02/2010 11:09

Once you write them down they are not unwritten are they?!

Like those celeb things "my secret heartache". Well, it's not very secret now is it love? You just told a magazine with 3m readers!

Sorry...off to pedant's corner.

I don't mind threads about a thread as a matter of principal.

Sometimes a conversation goes off on a tangent and you want to start a new chat about that tangent. Fair enough

But sometimes you have a fight discussion with someone on a thread. You , for example, argue that people who like cats are silly and people who likes dogs are great.
Instead of coming back and saying that they are great and you are a dog loving tosser ( which may be a fair point) they choose instead to go and write a new thread
" AIBU to think that people who like dogs are snotty and childish and I am oh so clever"

Then when you say "oi, don't be a wanker - if you have apoint then just make it in the relevent conversation" they say either 2oooh, I didn't know threads about threads are not allowed" or ( even more weak ass) "oh its not really realted , it was just my mind moving on to other matters"

It is just the same - eactly the same - as going into the corner and bitching a la primary school playground .

I don't think it should be banned though.
Its nice to be able to clearly identify the spineless twats.
