I'm going loopy.
Tried to pet the hoover yesterday thinking it was the dog.
So long as I don't try plugging Mollies tale into a socket..
Ok, weather update, wet and windy and COLD...but it's lovely walking along the beach in this kind of weather and I found a discarded bench that someome had dumped, so have somewhere to sit after a long walk.Bit surreal sitting on a wooden bench by the sea, must bring a flask next time.
Went to Ikea the other day, newly[ish] opened in Dublin, and enjoyed mooching through the rooms.G pretended to be George Clarke [Home Show - C4]Drove me nuts chattering away about kitchen worktops and sofas.
Café is very good, meals very cheap and free refills on coffee and tea, so a big thumbs up.
Downside was the volume of rude people and the way you kind of get herded around the shop one way.I kept doubling back, going against the flow.Nightmare.
Bought a lovely cardboard hanging star that lights up, was for christmas but is in the kitchen and will probably remain there forever.
2 white Ribba frames and a pack of batteries.
Wish I'd bought the duvet cover, wire racks, more stars and the Billy bookcase with glas doors - bargain.
Will have to visit again.
W-o-t-z, I'm utterly delighted you're back.
Sorry your sister has lost her MIL and is finding it hard.
Like you say stuff happens.
Keep Calm And Carry On
Bought a postcard with that on and when the plumber came round to service my boiler [snigger] he spotted it and passed comment about it being very British.
Apparently the original war time poster [although don't think it was actualy ever ussed] was found amongst a load of junk in the attic or somewhere of Barter Books.
The owner of the shop reproduced it in poster form, I think, and now it's everywhere.
I bloody needed to remind myself to keep calm when the plumber gave me the bill.
They just make it up, don't they?
Pluck a number out of their heads.
Anyway, I have to go and get ready for the day ahead.
Pip pip.
[had forgotten that my grandad used to say that when we'd be leaving him after a visit and now I'm going to start using it ]
