Do you guys have frost etc. Tis baltic here, I have a fluffy desing gown on, under this I have my joggers, under this i have my jimmers.

mummylin2495 · 11/11/2009 22:20

sorry if i have missed you W [ cant get used to namechange just yet ]

mummylin2495 · 11/11/2009 22:34

i am just testing to see if this posts takes a long time

Tn0g · 12/11/2009 07:58

I'm going loopy.

Tried to pet the hoover yesterday thinking it was the dog.

So long as I don't try plugging Mollies tale into a socket..

Ok, weather update, wet and windy and COLD...but it's lovely walking along the beach in this kind of weather and I found a discarded bench that someome had dumped, so have somewhere to sit after a long walk.Bit surreal sitting on a wooden bench by the sea, must bring a flask next time.

Went to Ikea the other day, newly[ish] opened in Dublin, and enjoyed mooching through the rooms.G pretended to be George Clarke [Home Show - C4]Drove me nuts chattering away about kitchen worktops and sofas.

Café is very good, meals very cheap and free refills on coffee and tea, so a big thumbs up.

Downside was the volume of rude people and the way you kind of get herded around the shop one way.I kept doubling back, going against the flow.Nightmare.

Bought a lovely cardboard hanging star that lights up, was for christmas but is in the kitchen and will probably remain there forever.

2 white Ribba frames and a pack of batteries.

Wish I'd bought the duvet cover, wire racks, more stars and the Billy bookcase with glas doors - bargain.

Will have to visit again.

W-o-t-z, I'm utterly delighted you're back.

Sorry your sister has lost her MIL and is finding it hard.

Like you say stuff happens.

Keep Calm And Carry On

Bought a postcard with that on and when the plumber came round to service my boiler [snigger] he spotted it and passed comment about it being very British.

Apparently the original war time poster [although don't think it was actualy ever ussed] was found amongst a load of junk in the attic or somewhere of Barter Books.

The owner of the shop reproduced it in poster form, I think, and now it's everywhere.

I bloody needed to remind myself to keep calm when the plumber gave me the bill.

They just make it up, don't they?

Pluck a number out of their heads.

Anyway, I have to go and get ready for the day ahead.

Pip pip.

[had forgotten that my grandad used to say that when we'd be leaving him after a visit and now I'm going to start using it ]

Tn0g · 12/11/2009 07:59

Feck.

That was a bit long.

good morning all ,yes i agree sparkles its lovely to have our friends coming back.Tnog Think cats ! All we need now is talcy to pop on again.Had a text from my dd who is in spain for four days ,she was sitting on a balcony in the warm sunshine ! A lot better weather than here by the sounds of it.Anyone started xmas shopping yet ? i dont have any enthusiasm at the moment but i really must make a start. Not heard from my ds although i expect i will hear from my " spy " sometime today"

isnowsoonenough · 12/11/2009 11:35

If you start talking about Xmas shopping I'll have to feck off.

SIS landing in UK where funeral will be (luckily her MIL had flown back 2 weeks prior for C treatment) so died peacfuly here with Macmillan care. But so far souf I can't visit see sis while here on short visit. Wouldn't be the right time to catch up. In two minds as to go to see sis or not.

Urggg...Just got back from a London from a work trip! Why is this country so big? Why is BIL still such a prize knob? Why is it so expensive to use public transport? I'm turning into a DailyMail reader .

Need a big cake and hot coffee.

ML sitting in some sunshine right now sounds lovely. Tnog good to see your news, the bench sounds like bliss. CC 4 miles you hero. Sparkles I'm still waiting to see if you get Gok'd! Shivver, has fluffy cats as I remember. Cute.

Dd OK now, just a cold thing. Must work now, spent this morning writing cards and letters to send off to arrive in the Souf in time for funeral.

Keep Calm And Carry On

sparklesandwine · 12/11/2009 11:36

if only....

Not really, that's a DH job here. I just moan about it needing doing in the end it gets done. There are companies that do this for you if your other half refuses .
