well sparkles ,it wasnt always a good year for me last year so it can only get better i think.what a turbulent year it has been trouble for dd and my ds. But i have to say i am very proud of my dd she is now coping well,has her finances under control and is managing well.Then there were the people we lost.But i am looking on the positive side for this new year>.May you also have a great year ahead.

It seems to have started well for us personally M, we have all got rid of our horrible colds and seem to be in good health again (fingers crossed), the dc are getting on well, DP has been promoted and has had a payrise, we have begun plans to do more work in the house

Its just the small things but thats all i concentrate on really, little things at a time and deal with anything else as and when it comes along!

I really do hope that things are good for everyone this year

I actually think that DP gets annoyed/frustrated with me sometimes as he thinks I live in a bubble and have a more childlike ....innocent?... outlook and don't look at the bigger picture or concern myself with too many things that don't concern us

i have recieved a lovely gift from Germany this morning ,it is a calender,but it is made up of photos of us in Germany and them when they came over here ,it includes pics of my gd,s and my brother too,its really nice and i am thrilled with it.How thoughtful to do that.

Today we are actually on the forecast to have some snow !! i love it.And i love the comardarie when things are disrupted ,people sem to be so much friendlier to each other and helpful.

We've had snow for weeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkks. I am spengin ££££££££ on heating. I have a 5 layers on today.

I cannot bloody get out. It's too cold. It's -5 today. I live in the only the only bloomin county to run out of flippin grit. Great. Slippery. Everywhere. car broke down, it doesn't like big snow, or freezing temperatures.

I have lots of time in PJ's and surrounded by snow. I got a lovely card today from one of my moggie buyers. Nice picture on it. Little late but the thought was there.

Schools all closed but depending on how many CM we get today don't know about tomorrow. I am supposed to be back to work tomorrow but hope it may snow more so I don't have to. Although it is only about 1 mile away so I "could" walk.

Or ski.

I have been sleeping in each day to at least 10.30am sometimes 12.30, if I wanted to, when brats not here, sorry dc, ha!

Just had text informing me today is day decs come down. I just put them up did I not ?!?

we have had none here shivvering and i am one of the people that love it !None of my gc have ever seen a lot of snow because my town seems to have its own weather pattern and it misses us all the time ,so i am hoping today will be the day for us.A disaster for me would be if i ran out of tea bags !!!

we have had snow today ,i had to hurriedly get dressed and go out to the local shops,it was great ! no hair done today as my hairdresser and children are all sick.

Hop you are all keeping warm.
I have extra layers on and I'm going to get my hot water bottle to keep me warm while I work on the computer. Kids have ofsted in school so they have to go in. Have one day off on Wednesday and we went out and had snow fun. Car has not been used. Walked most places. The sun's out but no sign of it melting. Still freezing.

hi wotz,i think some of the schools here have gone back to school today,Everywhere is still frozen and the pavements are treacherous.Going by the forecasts we are due a heavy fall here on sunday and monday.Actually it all looks very pretty here ,the sun is shining,but of course it isnt melting the snow at all.Our pond is frozen apart from a little space ,but the fish are fine they just go deeper in the water,im thinking i may make them all a little jumper to keep them warm

Poor fish and wildlife. Our cat refuses to get her paws cold and won't go out at all. She is now lying balanced on a radiator (falls off occasionally). Good use of the cat tray ATM, as she hasn't learnt to use the loo yet !!! Hope fish are OK, could you put some warm water in the pond?

fish are fine wotz,the ice is only on the top layer of pond and under neath the water is running freely ,i dont think they would like warm water somehow,would be like boil in a bag fish !! My old dog we used to have loved the snow ,he would lay in it for ages.

hi everyone ,not been on much because i have my mum here for a few days.Its safer and she is not so isoltaed.Its not safe to drive and its not safe for her to walk on the pavements at the moment,so thought it would be best to have her here with us, for company and for safety.

Hi shivvering ,our town has only had a little snow up until now but it has been around for a week ,but today i can see the grass again.It looks more like its going to rain than snow at the moment.The Pond has also nearly returned to normal ,but we have had some spectacular icicles hanging from the bird bath,in the pond ! they are still forecasting snow here for later ,but as i said ,i will believe it when i see it.
