Lost me temper with PIL today.
We were all at Culzean and went for a walk up a small hill. dh and I stopped to look at deer, and thought they were just in front of us.
Got to road - no sign of any of them.
Culzean is BIG place and we didn't know where they had gone.
Searched for about 20 mins before finding them, by which time I was hysterical.
they didn't think there was a problem until I told them in no uncertain terms that we were worried and had been searching all over park for them.

Just had enough this time on top of all the other SHITE they put us through

feeling again

worley · 31/10/2009 22:17

hugs to macdog. its horrible panincing cuase you think theyre lost, did they not realise you wouldnt know where they had gone?
is your dh their only ds, they have a dd too dont they?
is it like they think of your dd as more theirs?? dont know, it does seem they tend to take over a lot. but my parnets do this also and was a big issue for dp. one of the big things in what happened bewteen us was my dad trying to stick his oar in all the time as we didnt do things his way.

VampyJenn · 31/10/2009 22:29

Sorry to hear you got upset Macdog. Chin up! I'm so lucky with my pil. They're great. Ds might be a little about my parents, but they mean well and he does love them.

Still puking in this house. (dd2)

Loads of blood clot jelly with pus left in my fridge. Can't think why that didn't go down as well as the maggots for lunch, and fingers and oozing potatoes for dinner.

worley · 31/10/2009 22:42

i took ds1 and ds2 trick or treating with my freind and her ds. ds1 moaned all the way as it was cold and he wanted to go home and play xbox, but he wasnt allowed. ds2 loved it. dressed up as a little skeleton in a costume i got reduced in asda today. painted his face which he thought was great. he was first up the drive ways to knock on the door and say trick or treat. one lady had to walk up her hall to get a bowel that the sweets were in and he walked in and followed her !! i had to try and call him back while not looking horrified that he had walked in to some strange womans house, but i guess we were the ones that took him round all the houses and knocked on the door. it just amazes me that he has no fear of strangers what so ever and quite happy to talk to them. ds1 was always weary of strangers. gonna have to keep an eye on him!!

Jennster · 01/11/2009 13:32

Macdog · 01/11/2009 18:41

dh is their only

it hadn't occurred to them that we'd be worried

poured down in london this morning.

then stopped and when i get home its pouring down here. fantastic.

got bill for my car service today £317 !!!! labour was £260 oh my god!!! it was done in july and they only just sent the bill out. unfortunatley its gone in for tis mot and clutch today so i hope they take 4 months to bill me again for that, will take me that long to save up again.

worley · 03/11/2009 22:12

my dad keeps goning on at me to move home, (they live 2.5 miles away) i keep refusing as im not going to save a lot of money, im not moving ds1 out of his bedroom and also my dad seems to think i cant cope by myslef with the ds's. i dont know how he thinks i have manages to not kill them in the past 10 years ffs!!! and how have i been managinf for the past few years when dp been at work all the time. omg he is driving me mad. he likes to take control and it was one of dp's bugbears about my dad that he would moan about everything i do and insist on me ringing him all the time to tell him i was safe. he now says he cant help me when im so far away from them all the time (again 2.5miles...) no way am i moving home.
i made a comment the other day to my brother about my friend and i one year going to thailand with him for new years eve while the boys are with dp and he hit the roof and said i wasnt allowed to go as i have responsibilities at home, i cant go galavanting all over the world when i have children. so he isnt happy that dp may have boys some times and im not allowed to go anywhere when they are with him. last night he discovered i have been going to london on the mon evening and staying in a travel lodge over night. he went ballistic again telling me i was stupid and dangerous travelling at that time of night by myself (at 7 pm!) and that if i was going to keep dpoing that then him and my mum would start travelling down with me to make sure i get there and then come back again the same night. (they have free train travel)i prefer travelling at 7pm at night and getting some slepp instead of having to get up at 4.30am to catch the 5.30am train and getting in to uni at 8.50am and thats providing theres no hold ups.

sorry for venting, my dad just doesnt seem to realise that i am 32 now not 10 need bug drink now, of ALCOHOL shock horror !!

Macdog · 04/11/2009 09:47

Worley - try not to let tham get to you.

You are doing really well, and have turned things around so you are now in control of everything in your life.

It's natural for parents to worry, but it's only cos they love you.

How about if you compromise by promising to give them a ring when you arrive in big bad city???

Sorry if I've annoyed you further [grin

Macdog · 04/11/2009 09:48
