yes. men are weird. saying that, some woman (but admitantly not as many as men) are into the whole bondage thing which i just don't get. and no, i don't get the pants thing either but i find it fascinating.

pants-girl (pmsl) - did you genuinely wear them down or did you just make them look like they we're worn down. ie: the same concept as 'ageing' a pine cabinet with stones and a chain etc. etc.?

Like others, I have no objection to other people doing it but it's not for me! I'm not the sort of person who had one night stands either - it's just not me - I only have sex with someone I'm in a proper relationship with.

There was a woman on Loose Women recently who had become a prostitute when her family was facing bankruptcy to keep her kids in private school!

I couldn't believe it, she didn't want to upset their lives, that I can understand but prostitution?

Also isn't it going to be a little upsetting your mum going on TV talking about her 'other life' and writing a book about it!

I couldn't do it.

nope, I couldn't do it. I don't know why really, I have had sex with strangers who I have never seen again, but in that case we were both using each other, it wasn't just me being exploited.

Also benefits are plenty to live on, so unless I went mad and borrowed money from a loan shark who was going to beat up the bean if I didn't sleep with him, then no.

What's funny is that most of the prostitutes I met had bags of self-respect. For them it was literally nothing more than a business transaction. And they felt they were getting the better end of the deal. They felt their 'respectable' jobs were the ones that were screwing them over (no pun intended). But then again, the girls I talked to were well-educated w/o substance abuse problems. That made a difference, I'm sure.

About half I talked to did have poor family or relationship history. But some had none and were really, really money-driven. What I did notice about those types is that they had a hard-as-nails attitude. Very little or no compassion for others. Very 'dog eat dog' type mentality who thought it was funny to extract as much money and humiliate the punters as much as possible.
