won't they have its name sponsored by *** (insert highest bidder)
sorry, very naughty
one of my friends who had an ectopic last yr before giving birth successfully has nothing but praise for sophie because she raised the profile of ectopics & she felt much freer to talk about it.

How do we know that Sophie doesn't browse amongst us?!

Dahlia · 06/05/2003 14:30

Calandra Delphine for a girl.
Darren Wayne for a boy. (Our Daz for short)

OldieMum · 06/05/2003 14:41

Can we look forward to an Ardent Films record of the Happy Event?

crystaltips · 06/05/2003 14:43

Maybe Sophie is our very own Rioja !!

JOKE !

Jimjams · 06/05/2003 15:21

I shared a room after having ds1 with a woman who watched the video replay of her birth. Yuuuuurrrk.

Names? Um Randy for a boy. And I'll second Chardonnay for a girl.

oxocube · 06/05/2003 15:42

Come on, its got to be Lizzy for a girl!! Nothing like keeping in with the MIL, especially when she's Queen Actually, I think its lovely news. Good for them

Marina · 06/05/2003 16:13

OldieMum. I'm glad for them too, even if what they represent is an anachronistic, redundant etc institution...

hana · 06/05/2003 17:03

when's the baby due??

Hilary · 06/05/2003 17:05

I think it said December on the news.

suedonim · 07/05/2003 09:14

One news report said that because she's 'an older mum' she has been told to rest for the remainder of the pregnancy. Why didn't anyone tell me that when I was an older pg mum?? - and I had three others to look after as well!! Hope it all goes ok, though.

elliott · 07/05/2003 09:41

Although I am very anti royal and in general think E&S are prize p*, I am very pleased she's finally pregnant - they have been trying for an awfully long time.
Can't be very far on though as I'm due at the beginning of Dec and still only 10 weeks.

WideWebWitch · 07/05/2003 09:49

Sophie's not thaaat old surely? Only my age or something? Isn't she? 36 ish? But of course if that medical advice is correct I'm just going to have to put my feet up too for the next 6 months, starting now. Dp will be pleased, he's already comparing me to Denise Royle when she was pregnant

WideWebWitch · 07/05/2003 10:04

I'm so sad I looked it up. She's 38 and is resting, on doctor's advice.

Lil · 07/05/2003 11:45

pah...resting, you'd think she was royalty or something!

Doesn't it make you mad though when you think of the instant support and attention she will get for every whim? I bet she can call out the doctor in the middle of the night for any slight twinge of indigestion - and not be told to 'sleep on it' like the rest of us....we commoners will all be paying for the new baby's wet nurse you know

WideWebWitch · 07/05/2003 12:13

Oooh I know Lil, want to start a thread on the future of the monarchy?

Lil · 07/05/2003 12:25

ha ha, well this new babe is yet another one we need to overthrow when the republicans take control!

Jane101 · 07/05/2003 13:21

Well, I thank God I never had an ectopic pregnancy - she can have all the attention and support she likes as far as I'm concerned.

Lil · 07/05/2003 14:56

Jane I doubt the attention is due to the ectopic pregnancy, surely its just because of who she is.
Do you actually need extra medical support once you are successfully pregnant after an ectopic pregnancy?

Tinker · 07/05/2003 15:06

She can get all the support and attention she needs, as long as us commoners receive it in equal measure.
