Help - dd1 just caught us having sex!

She is 7 - we were in the middle of the "deed" when I looked up and saw her standing in the doorway. We didn't have any covers over us plus I had been wearing "bedroom"shoes . We obviously stopped straight away and I told her to come in to bed for a cuddle as she didn't look very happy. She is now downstairs with dh getting breakfast. Do we say anything to her by way of explanation or just ignore it. Help please!!

I'd brazen it out, tell her you were doing a special mummy and daddy thing and if she wants to talk to you about it, she has an opportunity then.

oh, and 8 weeks post birth and wearing bedroom shoes already - you go girl!!!

this happened to us about 2 months ago!It was truly awful dp brushed it off really easily but I was mortified for days and I think ds sensed this as he kept asking awkward questions about it (i told him daddy was sorting out my sore nech!)Put me off a bit for about a week thank god I wasn't wearing what dp calls my hookers kit(don't ask)It will get forgotten v quickly just a bit

LOL @ horsey horsey . Gobbledigook - no noise as we knew dd1 was awake - we'd just thought she would stay in her room! She seems fine actually so I don't think I will say anything to her. If she mentions it I will just reiterate that we were having a cuddle

oh sorry but im pmsl at bedroom shoes, me and dh did get down to it again 2 weeks after dd2 was born, but no bedroom shoes, bracelets etc!!! it was more a case of leave the light off for godssake so you cant see my (saggy) stomache, i wouldnt worry bonym, explain what you think she will feel comfortable with,explain that you were having a "grown" up cuddle etc, I have had the unfortunate humilation of my teen daughter constantly reminding us that she heard us one night when she got up to go to the toilet(her bedroom is downstairs and we didnt realiseshe had come upstairs), that she heard me say, several thingsalong the lines that you do when you are having sex, she says even now, I know what you were doing, so dont even deny it, no wonder you have so many kids!!!!!

God do I have this to look forward to? My boys are 4 and almost 3. I never realised sex could get so difficult. It sounds worse than when I was at home sneaking around from mam n dad!!!!

could be worse..when dd1 was doing sex education at school. she proudly announced in the middle of a packed wilkinsons stores that THERE ARE 3 MILLION SPERM IN ONE TEASPOON OF SEMEN!!! at that volume, was waiting for the ground to open up..v quickly.. and swallow me whole...

Just as this is a sex thread, yesterday my cousin and my friends son both 12 told us that their sex ed teacher asked the boys to show the class their willies! Should we be concerned? Is this normal practice as it sems a bit strange to us both.

omg Louise - that is NOT normal - I would be very concerned about this. This should be taken up with the headteacher imo
