One word of warning though for those who haven't got bang up to date virus checkers - I'm afraid the zip file has a virus attached.

Jan - you might want to run a virus scan on your machine. I received 2 mails both saying from you, 1 clean and 1 loaded with a virus.

Not sure Jan. They were slightly different AOL email addresses, can't remember the 2nd one as have deleted it.

Opened the first and looked at pics. Opened the 2nd thinking there were some more pics, but my virus checker wouldn't let me look as it detected virus straight away.

Strangely also had a third email from a totally wierd looking address which also set the virus checker off.

Not infected, Yahoo stopped anything getting through. Just thought I'd better warn you all to check just in case.

Hang on, have got both addresses. Do you use more than one AOL screenname? Don't want to put them on here, but one definately looks like your genuine address as it includes your full name - that's the one with the virus.

I have got 2, StG, one has full name, one includes "times" in it but I only sent it to you from the "times" one I think; if the virus is in the other I don't know how it came to be sent to you...

Yep, got the pics safely in the 'times' one. The other one was surnamefirstname @aol.com IYSWIM.

Looks like it might all be a sneaky plot. I strongly suggest everyone virus scans their machines ASAP.

Well it's a version of Norton that automatically scans my mail in yahoo and that's what picked it up.

Very wierd! I should have looked a bit closer really though. Just realised the first attachment said Picture015.zip, the 2nd said data.zip - that should have rung alarm bells straightaway, why would you need a data file if it is only pictures.

Anyway, no harm done

Norton has finished now and found nothing. I did send the pics from my name aol address to quite a lot of people though, I hope their computers haven't beem infected (that data.zip thing means nothing to me!)

Jan - best bet might be to write a brief email warning that people may have received a dodgy mail from you, that included an attachment called data.zip. Bulk send it to people in your address book, but especially make sure you send it to anyone you have sent the pics too.
