what was your wedding first dance song? and what song wopuld you secretly love to have as your first dance?

i was fairly happy with our fist dance, it was vic goddard's 'he's got no style' nice tune and rather appropriate lyrics) but i really woud have loved nick cave's straight to you!

We had Wet, wet, wet. The one everyone loves to hate Love is All Around. I loved it then and I love it now and wouldn't change it. It was the song my DH first sang to me on our 2nd date, so is definatly our song.

We had DJ Sammy's candlelight mix version of Bryan Adam's Heaven for the first dance and Savage Garden's "I knew I loved you before I met you" for the second (because DH said that song always made him think of when he met me and felt he'd always known me).

Wouldn't change either, they were perfect!

We never had a 'first dance'. We were both far too pissed to even stand up straight sensibly

Actually I think our first dance was about 20 years after the wedding!

we didn't really plan out wedding very well and as it wa the 80's the dj just chose a kylie one i think - it was something very awful

if i could do it now - i would have everlong by the Foos

We had I Can't Help falling In Love With You (can't even recall it's proper title!) and it's okay but I don't know why we chose that

We should have had The Ship Song - another Nick Cave!!! because it's 'our song', and I remember us discussing it's brilliance on the night I first pulled DH, then taking him back to my kitchen to play it at 4am

Followed by Elvis "Burnin'Love" - wouldn't change either of them!

Loved it then and now, liked the fact that it was slow for a short while then got faster so we didn't have to slow dance for too long with everyone watching.

We had "baby I love you" by the ramones!! We had our dds as bridesmaids (3 and 5) and half way through we danced with them as well (very soppy really but dh let it pass cos it was the ramones!)

His first choice was "it's a beautiful day" which I thought was lovely until I remembered it was MOTD themetune!!!
