POLL!....does ear piercing necessitate the need for glasses in the future?

One of my friends told me this ages ago. TBH, most people I know with their ears pierced do need glasses, IIRC she said it was something to do with a meridian. Probably something her mother told her to discourage her from piercing her ears!
Is anyone interested in a 'poll' to find out more?

Answer YES if you have pierced ears and wear glasses/contacts/(have had lazer surgery!)

Answer NO if you have pierced ears but don't need any of the above.

NO

but what a load of crap, how on earth could eyesight be related to pierced ears - its a genetic / state of health / age thing

I think it runs along the same lines of "if you pick your nose your brain will fall out"

That must be why I'm stupid! God if only people told you these things beforehand...

I have worn glasses since I was 6, contacts since I was 16 and had my ears pierced when I was 19.

So I think the myopia came first

And also amazing that having a small hole in the ear can cause either short or long sight....two quite different probelms caused by totaly different mechanisms Possibly it depends on which ear is pierced first?

So like...if you have your ears pierced you need glasses......what happens when you get your belly button pierced? Scared!

I got a lucky break with that one then? I dropped a giant battery on mine the week after it was done - never healed so I took it out

Do have a very odd scar now though...

I had a scar at first, even though I took it out at 2 months, and then by the time I got a 6 month bump I had a 2 inch scar and then this stretch mark that appeared on top of it and went bright red and grew really thick and about 3 inches long........ewwww...... just looks like a big scar now though lol although I bet it'll be back with the new bump!

Sounds different anyway!! You can make up cool stories about how you got it too

DP tried to convince me that he'd been stabbed trying to stop a bank robbery.... it was his appendix scar!!!
