Can anyonr fill me in? I was watching till ds woke up and I spent a long time settling him. What happened?

Rachel and Adam's house put up for auction. Adam's bisexual dad turns up who he initially rejects.
Jo sleeps with swimming instructor on weekend away with work. doesn't tell fat one.

Adam just manages to put in bid to buy their house and Rachel is driving there carelessly and crashes. Very sad. Hope it makes sense.

I was thinking about starting a thread on this tonight - I can't believe what happened, I'm so upset! Adam had rushed to the auction house to bid for their house (knowing he could now afford to buy the house with a loan from his dad), which he did, but he rang Rachel to tell her to get there quickly with her cheque book so they could pay the deposit. He then rang her again in the car to say it was OK, David had paid the deposit. She told him she loved him, hung up, went to choose a new tape and a lorry crashed into her.

PS please don't anyone reveal any plot outlines of the last episode in this thread, or if you do warn me so I won't read it!

Bunny - it's repeated on Thurday night on ITV2 if that's any good. It's been a great series, yet again.

Does anyone think David and Karen might get back together? Wish they would..

Fionn, dont have ITV2, knew I'd regret it one day! I only saw the last bit where Rachel died and I still cried - her poor baby. For personal reasons I have never been able to watch Cold Feet before and I am hooked in the last series. Are they all as brilliant as this?

Does anyone think Adam will find Rachel in the shower and it was all a dream?

Only joking of course - I has tears streaming down my cheeks tonight. Who is the mysterious blonde do you think in the clip for next week? Is it Pete's ex?

David and Karen must get back, they lok so right together and waht about the kids ... must remember its only a tv show .. must get a life.

I was going to start a thread about this. I just cried and cried, I can't believe it! It's bad enough Cold Feet is finishing without Rachel dying too, although I hope they don't find her in the shower, would be a bit corny. Mears, agree with you about the blonde, it has to be her.

I think I might watch it again on Thursday night.

I cried too. And then I got angry. Why can't there be a happy ending. The one functional relationship in that show and they have to kill one of them off. It's a really depressing example to set for society...don't get too happy or too settled because something terrible will be bound to happen.

OH MY GOD!!!! I cried and cried, I knew it was going to happen because I was looking on a cold feet site and inadvertently (sp?) read racheal would die......very annoyed that I read it but I should have been more prepared for the tears at least.
On a morbid note though, and I know it's only TV but that is my biggest fear in life....something happening to me and not being able to look after my family which is also why I cried so much, DH thought I was a bit wierd and was freaked out when I told him why I was so upset. I had to reassure him that I wasn't about to have a breakdown a and be carted of to the funny farm. I think I'm quite normal......I am aren't I?

Blubbed for ages. DH now convinced I am nuts. Anyhow I am now convinced I will die, and leave my 2 young children with no mother. Have had so much bad luck recently this must be about to happen.

God, I'm so sad I actually dreamt about this all last night!!! Had no idea it was coming and was so upset too (even though doing the mantra 'its' only a TV programme' to try and prevent me crying!!).
I think it's because as a Mum you do sometimes think 'what if ...' when you're not with your little one or when doing a long drive, etc.
I think the blond is Fay Ripley, Pete's ex, as it is the only person they all know (ie Jo, Pete's new wife, knew her too).

I guessed that Rachel might be about to die from the way they were building up to it by showing lots of conversations on the phone in the car. When she said "I love you" I thought, oh right, that's her gone then. It was sad and depressing and I don't think I'll watch any more of this series. Looked like the next episodes are going to be equally depressing too. I know they would have to be after that but I just can't face it. Couldn't work out who the blonde could be but you're all right, bound to be Jenny. Oooh maybe I will have to watch it then. I reckon David and Karen will get back together too.

I was in floods of tears too, started me off on one of those philosphical moments, saying to my husband, "We really must start enjoying our time together more and appreciate each other, for we do not know how long we have got together!" -Totally sad watching Rachel dying and gutted it's the last series. Mystery blonde couldn't be Jen (Fay Ripley), she wouldn't have returned to the series, surely.Haven't a clue who it is! Could be Adam's Ex.Would be great if it were Jen though.

The paper today says 9 million viewers watched as Rachel died. Next week is the last episode and it is the 'best we have ever made'. Producers let slip there would be a confession and that fay Ripley is returning as Jenny. Can't wait

Fay Ripley/Jenny is due make an appearance at the funeral (according to the papers when they were doing the previews of the series) so it must be her.

I cried as weel and I knew there was going to be death. I really hope Karen & David get back together (isn't that TV tho always a little glimmer of hope)...but she also admitted being attracted to Adam's dad and he to her, so who knows

SofiaAmes and WWW, I agree with you completely. I was so ANGRY with them doing this to the best relationship in the series too. And I was blubbing loads at the end. I thought Fay Ripley had refused point blank ever to come back, so the news that it is her at next week's funeral is intriguing. I hope Karen and David get back together again as well. I've really enjoyed Cold Feet from day one and want to put in a special word for Ramona the Nanny, I hope that philandering eejit she's moved in with gets what's coming to him.

I guess as she's only coming back for a short bit on the last show meant she was happy to do it. Jenny couldn't possibly have missed Rahel's funeral.
