I'm a complete wreck already. It is so upsetting. Why do we put ourselves through this?!!

It was so sad! I thought it was a great last episode. I've just dragged myself away from ITV2 where they're showing the first episode from series one.

Darn, I wish we still had digital! Adam with that rose in his bum, would love to see the first episode again!

Thought tonight's episode was great, a good mix between crying a laughing although did not do either to extreme tonight. Can anyone answer a question for me? I understood Adam and Matthew went to live with Adam's Dad at the end but DH disputed this, can anyone confirm if this is what happened and if so remind me where Adam's Dad lives? If he did go to stay with his Dad and assuming his Dad lived far away (DH and I couldn't decide between Ireland and America somewhere) I thought this was sad as it was breaking up the group although perhaps that was the whole point, they had reached the end of the road. Glad to see Jenny and Pete sort of back together although it seemed a shame that David and Karen didn't get back with each other although perhaps this may have been a bit too corny and it was a nice twist as I think everyone expected that it would be David and Karen. Very sad that it has finished though!

I was in tears within about 30 seconds of the start, when they showed clips from last week. DH laughed at me and I told him to F* off! Then at the funeral and when Karon was in the supermarket.....just the whole way through, mind you I am PG so it's probably hormones doing that aswell.
I'm not sure if we found out where Adams dad lived. I remember him talking about New York last week, but did he still live there? I think Adam did go and live with his dad.
I'm so sad that it all over, although DH did say that alot can be followed on from last nights episode, not so sure myself.
Oh and as for David........PIG! HE HAS TO BE WITH KARON. IT ALL WRONG OTHERWISE!!!!!
Oh well, might just wait until the 24 and but the videe to relive it all.

I thought that they did it very well indeed - both Adam and Karen played really good bereaved person roles - Karen in the supermarket was a brilliant piece of writing and acting. James Nesbitt deserves an award for his performance.

I felt that he did go to his Dad's I think his Dad was in Ireland as hadn't they said that he was on a stop off from Dublin to Frankfurt last week, which Adam poo-poo'd as unnecessary?? It is significant that Adam left, because Cold Feet is Adam and Rachel's story and without them, the group wouldn't really survive; Jenny and Pete would not have known Karen and David without them.

I really did think that it would be Karen and not Robin who met David for lunch, but realised that that would have been a bit cheesey. Nice touch with Pete and Jenny, Pete and Jo were never really believable.

Isn't Port Merrion beautiful - I must visit!

Zoe agree with your analysis - except that I think Karen can manage without David, he'll probably end up making more mistakes but felt it was the right ending for her. love the idea of her & Ramona in a convertible across Spain

Thought the episode had some really nice touches. Loved the way Rachel hopped into the taxi at the end with her suitcase, meaning they weren't leaving her behind. Pleased also that Karen & David DIDN'T get back together; they would have driven each other mad as well as it being too corny for words. Didn't see the Jenny/Pete reunion coming, but agree it was right for it not to work with Jo.
I also turned over to ITV2 (had to tape it as vv late) and couldn't stop laughing at Adam's hair.

I agree with bettys - some lovely touches. At first I didn't like Rachel popping up because I thought it defeated the idea of Adam being on his own, but then I realised that he was only wishing those conversations. Realised at the point when Matthew began crawling and Rachel said "yes, I would have loved to have seen that". Reminded me that when I was younger I tried to have conversations like that with my mum who died. Used to get frustrated when I couldn't hear her answer me .

Also broke my heart at the end when Rachel got into the taxi and the old music came up to signal the end of it all. Hope they don't do any more - it's right that it ended like this, even though it was very sad. Can hardly bring myself to watch the repeats, because it's like we know what's going to happen to them now!
(Note to self: try to get a life)

I thought it was brilliant. really sad, especially the speechs at the funeral and I thought Karen was particularly good.
Can't believe it's over for good.

I didn't realise Adam went to live with his dad. I was frustrated at the end wondering where he went, but of course, that makes sense.

Moomin, that is so touching. I've had those conversations too, and it does make you feel even lonlier when you can't hear them.

moomin, I've left a message for you on the bereavement thread. It's a bit of a rant. I hope you don't mind.
