I've won an award at work and the prize is an experience day of my choice up to the value of £350.

It can be anything I want, and I can take DP too if I like.

I cannot decide for the life of me what to choose (am TERRIBLE with too much choice), I quite fancy some sort of racing car track day but then a relaxing spa day would be lovely too.

What shall I choose? Ooh dilemma! Any ideas appreciated!

For that much, I'd do one of those fab track days as its well out of my league. And make DH stand and watch you as you whizz round !

Congratulations !

forevercleaning · 14/10/2008 16:25

spa or balloon ride would be brill

PhantasmagoricalPhono · 14/10/2008 16:26

Oh, a spa day would be my choice!

Lucky you - enjoy it whatever you go for!

childrenofthecornsilk · 14/10/2008 16:27

racing car day would be fab!

Lizzylou · 14/10/2008 16:27

Well done you!
Another vote for spa day, would be bliss.

MorticiaAnnSpookington · 14/10/2008 16:28

ooh, well done you !! I'd do the car thing

mrsbabookaloo · 14/10/2008 16:29

I would absolutely do a balloon ride.

GreatGooglyMoogly · 14/10/2008 16:30

Definitely a spa.

MadreInglese · 14/10/2008 16:30

I did think about a balloon or helicopter ride but I have to take it before the end of the year and I wondered if the weather would be crap....

Oh and well done! Good for you! And not just a random win, but something you earned. You should be proud of yourself!

MadreInglese · 14/10/2008 16:35

I also have no idea where to do any of these things.

Could you actually spend that much in a spa?

DrN that looks lovely too.

No, doesn't have to be with a red letter type company, just "an experience of your choice"

It would be sooooo much easier if it were just a few options but OMG I will take FOREVER to decide

Cooker day at Le Manoix would be good.

If it were me, I'd go to a spa I think. I would hate balloon ride and whizzing round a race track would not appeal to me.

But it's up to you! What would YOU like to do?

Lets put it into catergories:

Spa
Driving
Ballooning
Cooking
See a show
Shopping (could you have your experience in Harvey Nics and get a nice handbag? )

OK, decide what you would NOT like to do and we can work from there.

Betty's do them too MI.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 14/10/2008 16:55

Bloody hell, def do something exciting that you'll remember, not a spa day. The spa might be very pleasant and soothing and all that, but if you don't choose it, you're not going to look back when you're an old lady and think 'oh I wish I'd gone to a spa', are you?

Go with the balloon or helicopter or racing cars.

ohdearwhatamess · 14/10/2008 17:01

Dh just did a racing track day and it sounded absolutely fantastic. He can't stop talking about it!

MadreInglese · 14/10/2008 17:01

Thanks for all these tips. I do like cooking but spend a lot of time doing that anyway so not sure I'd enjoy a day of it.

I would love to do something like a car racing day but have talked about doing something like that for my (milestone eek!!) birthday next year.

DP & I both have birthdays coming up and have had a mental busy stressy couple of months so a spa break would be nice but I don't know if I should do something EXCITING.

Off to google ideas do some work and will be back later....
