I've won an award at work and the prize is an experience day of my choice up to the value of £350.

It can be anything I want, and I can take DP too if I like.

I cannot decide for the life of me what to choose (am TERRIBLE with too much choice), I quite fancy some sort of racing car track day but then a relaxing spa day would be lovely too.

What shall I choose? Ooh dilemma! Any ideas appreciated!

What about trip to LOndon and tickets to see a show?

Red letter day site has all sorts on it includeing private champagne flight over London, Owl evening fopr two , and a cowboy adventure day fro two (though I suspect dd would prefer that much more than you!)

a helicopter ride would be fab
How about clay pigeon shooting. I loved it.

well done on winning the prize, what did you win it for?
i would love an experience day.
i think you should go for something that you will always remember, i think for me that would be......Spa/helicoptor/track day.
i am sure with that money you may be able to do a couple of things.

Racing car track day! Make sure you get the really fast racing car option. I just did one at Three Sisters somewhere up north and it was fantastic. It was through this place. Do it do it do it.

Congrats!

flying lesson for two/ or a gliding lesson

or a night at Champneys with a treatment

ScummyMummy · 14/10/2008 18:27

Well done. How brilliant to have deserved recognition and glory.

Bloodystumperlicious · 14/10/2008 18:49

Awww, well done you!

I would go for a balloon ride, cookery, spa, flying lessons - ooh, I can't decide!

DrNortherner · 14/10/2008 20:51

lunch on the orient express?

Sidge · 14/10/2008 21:00

Can you have a flying lesson?

I had a flying lesson and it was FANTASTIC! Such a thrill, and I can't believe I actually took off in a Cessna. Me! I flew a plane!!

I also adore those spa spoily sort of days but I agree it's not necessarily that memorable.

Have a flying lesson, you'll love it.

MadreInglese · 15/10/2008 10:24

Ooooh, flying lesson, now there's an idea.

I'm wondering if I could book something high adrenalin for the afternoon, but far away enough from home that I have to also book a hotel for that evening that has spa facilities.........

Sidge, who did you book the flying lesson through? It sounds fab.

JJ · 15/10/2008 10:46

MI, that is a brilliant idea (adrenaline then spa)!

Sidge · 15/10/2008 12:51

JJ - my dad booked it for me where he lives in Perth, Australia. But I think many flying clubs do introductory trial flying lessons, not sure how much it would cost though.

It would be worth every penny though, it was amazing!

JJ · 15/10/2008 21:31

Thanks Sidge! That's good to know. Perth is, indeed, a leetle bit too far for me, but I'll have a hunt around here.

MadreInglese · 05/11/2008 09:34

Well, thanks for all your suggestions here, I've made a decision.

We're going to save the adrenalin day for my (milestone, eek!) birthday next year, so for my 'prize' I'm taking DP to a Champneys health spa for a 2 day/1 night stay and loads of treatments. I've even managed to get it booked on his birthday which is fab. We've both had a really mental few months so it will be lovely to relax away from it all.

Can't wait!!
