Am I the only person who hates this programme, I don't like the presenter, the songs they sings, and most of all I hate the fact that I cant get the tune out of my head. Its only come back on cbeebies today and its getting on my nerves already.

Can't stand it either. And don't you think the woman looks like she can't stand children?

Scatterbrain · 17/02/2003 12:21

Great minds eh - I came on here today specifically to moan about this dreadful c**y programme !! We've had Chennel 5 on all morning as it's reappeared !!

Yuck Yuck Yuck !!!

SoupDragon · 17/02/2003 12:35

"It won't take long, to zingalong, to zingalong with Zing..."

Yep, I hate it! Was very disappointed to see it back on CBeebies this morning, especially when DS1 claimed it was his "favourite programme before 'Rubbadubbas' came on".

Aaagh!

Fionn · 17/02/2003 12:42

I agree, I don't like her, but dp thinks she's "fit". At least Ethelbert is back though too and it was a very good Blue Cow story about the sea monster...I think we ought to get out to the park though now!

babster · 17/02/2003 12:57

I can't stand it. 'What a zippy zappy zoppy crappy Zingalong that was'. Bleeuuurrrgghhh. Bring back 64 Zoo Lane!

AngieL · 17/02/2003 13:01

I have to agree, her big smiley face and silly songs drive me mad.

Did you notice the way she kept lifting her leg in the rabbit and guinea pig song, I thought she looked like she was going to break wind!!

Zoe · 17/02/2003 13:22

Ugh, add me to the list of Mumsnetters who HATE this programme - PLEASE tell me it's not on all day on the CBeebies channel, I can't bear it! h and I think that the presenter must be one of the BBC big cheese's girlfriends as this is the only way she could possibly have got the job, she's appalling - and who writes the songs, the should be ashamed of themselves! Last time it was on, ds seemed to like it, I only hope that he has now grown out of it...

breeze · 17/02/2003 14:48

Glad its not only me then, I half expected someone to tell me that they liked it.

Scatterbrain, sorry but what swear word was you actually going to put, could you leave me letters in for me to guess please.

Well earlier while cbeebies was on ds got up and turned the telly off while this was on, when I asked him why, he replied "its too silly and too noisy, it hurts my ears". My boy has taste.

gosh, I can't wait to see this on thursday morning

Chinchilla · 17/02/2003 20:12

Me too. It rates up there with Ballamory and the 'funny' lady in Teletubbies in the 'Quick, where's the remote?' stakes. Luckily, ds does not seem to have noticed it yet.

GeorginaA · 17/02/2003 21:01

Bah... I like funny lady ... and Ballamory....

[runs and hides her face]

Haven't seen Zingalong though... thank god.

MandyD · 17/02/2003 22:49

Oooh, well...DS liked Zingalong last time!! I must say I've seen worse on Cbeebies! Didn't actually know it had returned tho', must be after 10.45 in the morning and before 4.30 in the afternoon.

clucks · 17/02/2003 23:00

You can tell the one from zingalong fancies herself... and she is definitely childless. Blue cow anyday.

breeze · 18/02/2003 08:29

Whats that noise............................ hopefully its the sound of her naff programme getting the chop.

OP posts:
babster · 18/02/2003 08:43

If you look at the kids at the beginning of the programme, I don't think they're enjoying it much either! They must think that the woman's plain barmy, imagining noises and talking to invisible spaceships.

Nutjob · 18/02/2003 09:27

Give me 'Little Bill' or 'Dora the Explorer' on Nick Jr anytime. Although I have to say, there are some awful programmes on Nick Jr too, 'You Do Too' springs to mind, with Anthea Turners sister, Wendy, on it. Yeeeuucchh!!

SoupDragon · 18/02/2003 10:25

MandyD, it's first on at about 8am, just before Storymakers.

I'm a big Dora the Explorer fan too, as is DS1.

GeorginaA · 18/02/2003 12:00

Oh God ... we like You Do Too too (although I have to admit that I hated it the first few times I saw it but ds was fascinated). Have just seen Zingalong - I survived 5 minutes before I hurriedly got lunch ready early and turned it off!

SoupDragon · 18/02/2003 12:23

GeorginaA, if this goes on, you'll have to change your name!!

Philippat · 18/02/2003 12:30

Unfortunately am strangely hynotised by You Do Too (as is dd). Used to nearly choke on my toast with annoyance at the 'is it the bell to tell us there's a video to watch' 'is it the bell to tell us there's a message on the computer' 'is it the bell to tell us the post has arrived' bit (You stupid woman, you don't have a bell for anything other than the post) but bless her, dd has now started shaking her head and nodding at the right bit so I've come round to it.

Zingalong's woman has even more perky tits than tikkabilla's Sarah Jane. Bring back Auntie Mabel.

GeorginaA · 18/02/2003 13:00

Yes that's what won me over Phillipat, was really cute when ds started nodding and shaking his head at that bit.

Yes SoupDragon I know

Linzoid · 18/02/2003 21:27

bring back wizadora!!

Chiccadum · 18/02/2003 21:42

Nah, if programmes are to be brought back it's got to be Jamie and his magic torch, Pigeon Street or Rentaghost

Nutjob · 18/02/2003 22:28

Oooh, oooh bring back Pipkins
