Did anyone else ever play Charlie's Angels when they were little? Are are you all far too young....?

I was always Sabrina as she was the "intelligent" one - and also had the same haircut as me.

Interestingly, all my mates wanted to be Kelly, as she was considered the prettiest. Not Farah.

Wonder what the modern version of playing at Charlie's Angels is? CSI...?

I am a rl Police officer and have been known to play Cagney and lacey at times!! LOL!

pointydog · 12/09/2008 16:50

yes. And starsky and hutch too

TheConfusedOne · 12/09/2008 17:07

No I didnt, but there again might have looked a bit silly playing with a bump

JuneBugJen · 12/09/2008 17:08

I was kelly, she was so perdy!

We made my youngest sister be sabrina as she had no say over whcih one she was so we made her be the munter!

PortBlacksandResident · 12/09/2008 17:14

We used to play Battle of the Planets.

I was a tomboy so always Mark, never Princess.

PuppyMonkey · 12/09/2008 17:18

were you pregnant a lot when u were little confused?

OP posts:
TheConfusedOne · 12/09/2008 17:20

No but I was 18

hifi · 12/09/2008 17:43

we played miss world, tied our leotard arms around our necks for that halter neck look.
we all wanted to be called marie, miss america.

JuneBugJen · 12/09/2008 17:49

Did any of you used to loop the bottom hem of your t-shirt over into the neckline so that you had a 'bra effect top a la Charlies angels'?

ahundredbiros · 12/09/2008 17:53

Yes! I was Sabrina too, I loved Sabrina.

We used to do that posing with guns and then running about and shooting.

Then, well, then I became Purdy (sp?) and then I did high kicking and fighting. That was good.

What was the name of the man behind the desk? He was located next to the climbing frame.

squeaver · 12/09/2008 17:53

Yes I was Chris or was it Jill (the Farah Fawcett one?) DSis was whatever I told her to be - sometimes she had to be Bosley.

More embarrassingly, we use to play at being the "hostesses" who showed off the prizes on Sale of the Century.

Thank God I discovered feminism in my teens.

squeaver · 12/09/2008 17:54

Ooh X100 I used to be Purdey with my bruv being Steed. I even got her haircut.

mehgalegs · 12/09/2008 17:56

We used to play the Famous Five with my cousins. I always had to be Julian, which I suppose was better than being timmy the do-oo-oo-og.

Also Star wars, I was Hans solo and my younger sisters and cousins would battle it out to be princess leia (wearing skiing earmuffs). Littlest sis was alwyas R2D2.

juneBug - we used to do the t shirt thing

lol @ hostesses on Sale of the Century. I so wouldn't have played your game.

Purdey was great. I loved Purdey. In every way. Problem was nobody else wanted to play, because I was Purdey and they didn't want to be Gareth Hunt. Sometimes I didn't mind playing the one with the bowler hat, then someone else could be Purdey.

hifi · 12/09/2008 18:00

totally forgot about PURDY. i had the do.

ahundredbiros · 12/09/2008 18:02

I loved Wonder Woman too. I liked her pants and long blue boots, she was ace.

Also I liked Heart to Heart. Jonathan Heart and Jennifer and Max. But I was older then, and didn't play it, I just watched and swooned.

beansprout · 12/09/2008 18:02

I was always Sabrina.

We used to play Sale of the Century at home. Dad would read out a chapter from Noddy and we had to answer questions. We used beer tops as buzzers. Naturally.

dalek · 12/09/2008 18:02

We did Miss World as well and we had to sing a song. Also did the bra t shirt thing. If we had thought of it would definitely have done hostess on sale of century - do you think I could persuade DD (8) to play this with me or would this be classed as child abuse and social services would get involved?

squeaver · 12/09/2008 18:06

Oh yes, I looked forward to the day when I could wear the top half of the pyjamas and my multi-millionaire husband could wear the bottom half.

The trick to being the hostess was the simultaneous hand movement and knee bend in front of the spin dryer/electric blanket/toasted sandwich maker. We used to stand on the coffee table in the living room as we did it.

MarsLady · 12/09/2008 18:12

Yes! I was Kelly (Jacqueline Smith). I loved her long dark hair and the fact that she rode a motorbike.

And yes OP... she was the prettiest! lol

Tyres · 12/09/2008 18:14

Anyone play 'All Join Up For Planet Of The Apes...' ?

squeaver · 12/09/2008 18:19

I remember the boys at school often doing "all join up for.."

Japs and Commandos

Cops and Robbers

Cowboys and Indians

dewmeadow · 12/09/2008 18:23

I was always Sabrina, and we would make a boy be Bosley and use a doorstop that was high up onthe wall as a communication point with Charlie

Loved Wonder Woman too - loved deflecting the bullets with my wristbands!

DoubleBluff · 12/09/2008 20:29

The boys used to play war, and we got to be the nurses.
