I know this will probubly sound really sad but I really like Lola's dress sence in Charlie and Lola. It seems really retro, cool and sweet. I just wondered where I could get clothes like that for my daughter. You don't tend to see anything like it in the high street. My daughter is 3 but very tall for her age. She wears an age 4/5. Thanks

that's so funny as less than an hour ago I was admiring a duffle buttoned long cardi/coat that she was wearing in "Beetles, Bugs and Butterflies"!!

when is charlie and lola on these days. its the only programme i can stand to watch with the kids and never see it anymore [sad cow]

peggotty · 20/07/2008 19:15

6.15pm. I think Lola might get some of her clothes from H&M

NorthernLurker · 20/07/2008 19:15

I think you might find the odd Lola-like dress in Zara maybe? Or sometimes in Gap?

mummyloveslucy · 20/07/2008 19:16

Yes, I liked that one too. I like stripey tights and retro short dresses with big flowers etc. If I don't find and then I will design my own.

6.15pm on cbeebies, weekdays I think. I also love Lola's clothes...

tassisssss · 20/07/2008 19:18

I think there's usually the odd Lola-ish thing in the next directory if you can be bothered having a good look through...

NorthernLurker · 20/07/2008 19:21

Verbaudet?

JulesJules · 20/07/2008 19:23

If you are going to make your own, clothkits are quite lola-esque, I think

mummyloveslucy · 20/07/2008 19:24

Thanks everyone, I'll have a look at all those shops to see what I can find.

Isn't it weird that you can get pink-and-white clothes with pictures of Lola on (merchandising), but not the actual little pinafores and Peter Pan collar dresses she wears?

Reason #132 for wanting a girl... to dress her up like Lola...

mummyloveslucy · 20/07/2008 19:42

Yes, I thought that too blithedance. I think there may be a gap in the market.

I have always dressed her in Sarah louise/ Pretty original's dresses with smocking. Now she's getting a bit older I'd like to go for a new style that is still appropriate to her age. As she has long auburn hair in ringlets and I put matching ribbons in her hair she does look like a little girl from a nursery rhyme. People have started asking If she's been to a wedding. I think it looks gorgeous but when I saw Lola, I thought that style would really suit Lucy.

mummyloveslucy · 20/07/2008 20:24

I would like to make one too. I don't have a sewing machiene though, or any cotton, or a needle, or the talent. I think I'll just buy one actually, or get my Mum to make it. That's what us Mums are for isn't it ??
