I know this will probubly sound really sad but I really like Lola's dress sence in Charlie and Lola. It seems really retro, cool and sweet. I just wondered where I could get clothes like that for my daughter. You don't tend to see anything like it in the high street. My daughter is 3 but very tall for her age. She wears an age 4/5. Thanks

Thanks lilyloo, some lovely things. I love the dressing up bit too but very expensive.
Do you know when the Autum/ Winter things are due in?

mummyloveslucy · 20/07/2008 20:43

I think the clothkits things are v easy, and come with all the cotton, buttons etc you need. I think you would need a sewing machine though... I was going to try and interest my Mum in making one of the birdie pinnies...

Pollyanna · 20/07/2008 21:43

this looks good www.tobytiger.co.uk- v cute dresses

JackieNo · 20/07/2008 21:46

Also maybe try Tulip and Nettle.

PortAndLemon · 20/07/2008 22:25

This from Ziggie Smalls is a bit Lola, although I don't think she'd go for those colours.

bea · 21/07/2008 08:44

oh! those ziggie smalls stuff is gorgeous!!!! but don't think i could justify £37 on a retro dress.... ! eek!

Going to have a go with a clothkits dress!!!! wish me luck!

MadamAnt · 21/07/2008 09:17

Some Oilily stuff is Lola-esque

more here

onceinalifetime · 21/07/2008 09:27

Elias and Grace's stuff is gorgeous - nto cheap though - their dresses are very Lolaesque www.eliasandgrace.com/types/35/products

Pesky Kids www.pesky-kids.co.uk also have lots of retro labels and bold prints but their website seems to be down at the moment.

MsDemeanor · 21/07/2008 09:35

This has some Lolo-esque stuff at a huge price tag

Any dress in particular you have in mind?

MsDemeanor · 21/07/2008 09:36

Lolaish www.tobytiger.co.uk/dresses-smocks/organic-dot-flower-dress.html

PortAndLemon · 21/07/2008 09:37

I think making yourself (or sweet-talking grandparents) may be the answer. There are some lovely simple patterns out there and last night I saw some that would get that kind of retro-style stuff at a fraction of the price. I may try dusting off my sewing machine (although I'm looking more at the baby/toddler end of the age range rather than full-blown Lola, admittedly).

ScaryHairy · 21/07/2008 09:48

I always think the stuff in Polarn O Pyret is very Lola. They sell it in Brent Cross and in House of Fraser.

Also some of the stuff on Lula Sapphire is kind of retro and cool.

treacletart · 21/07/2008 12:29

I too consider Lola a fashion icon - ebay is my boutique of choice!

whoopsididitagain · 22/07/2008 15:54
