Bluedragonfly is moving.

She has a week to pack, a clingy baby, two older DC, and is possibly at the start of mastitis.

She says people can't help pack because she is throwing stuff out as she goes, but I am thinking that you can help with children, or if anyone fancies cooking a meal, washing some clothes, take her to GP, anything really that you think would ease things for her.

Her DP is working lots this week, so not available to do much

Aaarrggghh - I'm moving house this week - am in moving hell with no gas/elec, furniture coming tomorrow, no childcare for ds's, no oven or washing machine at the moment etc. Also dp hasn't been able to get any time off so I'm not able to get out in the evenings. I'm really sorry...

If things get better this week I'll find the thread again - would love to help.

Dottydot · 06/07/2008 21:54

Actually I could help with lifts to the GP if that's any use? I'm off work Monday - Thursday this week because of the move but could escape with the car to run lifts to GP/shops etc?

give me a shout if I can help: lakinson dot house at ntlworld dot com

(but no internet access from Wednesday...)

Flamesparrow · 06/07/2008 21:54

Awww - everyone needs to help Dotty too!!!!

I was just wondering if I am actually Bluedragonfly!

No, we're OK, just horribly stressed and knackered. Electrician has really let us down and yesterday we discovered we've got a gas leak, so it could be going better...

But anyway, let me know if I can do lifts - probably the most useful I can be this week

suwoo · 06/07/2008 21:57

I was just reading her post then jumped to this one. I'm in Whitefield so not overly near, but will help if I can??

nooo help dotty instead! FIL can help me tomo, have just been ordered via msn that i amto go to toddlers as normal on tuesday afternoon to give myself a break but can leave ds2 there if i want to get more done instead.

where are you dotty? and where are you moving to? (ish!)

Dottydot · 06/07/2008 22:01

Hello! I'm in heaton chapel - we've been with my Mum for 5 months, also in heaton Chapel, and our furniture is all arriving tomorrow afternoon!

We haven't finished painting yet (although nearly have - should be done in the morning) and like I said, no electricity or gas at the moment. The plan is to spend a couple of days unpacking and then move in on Wednesday

Where abouts are you?!

BlueDragonfly · 06/07/2008 22:03

am in hazel grove but moving to the other end in a real HOUSE with a GARDEN and a letterbox

There is a MNetter near to you (won't name her just in case)

Dottydot · 06/07/2008 22:07

ooh - I know one - her son goes to the same pre-school as our ds2! And there's another down the road who loves camping

Anyway, I'm off to bed - looooooonnng day tomorrow looming...

Hope you're OK - mastitis is something I'm very glad I don't have to cope with as well - seriously, let me know if you need any lifts anywhere - I'll be glad to escape the madness!

And keep me posted re: your move and I'll twitter on about ours (in between downing a shed load of red wine...)

lol @ you mad stalkers!

even if i told you where ilive you wouldn't be able to find my door, even the postman struggles!(not that i have a letter box anyway!)

Have got shit loads done this morning while FIL been here to hold my incredible none sleeping baby! he has gone home for an hour or so so i am having a break while ds3 is sleeping.
DP working, DS1 at school and DS2 with childminder !

sore breast is no worse than last night so hopefully mastitis will not take too much of a hold. I am keeping fluids up and have necked a stupid amount of vitamins (its amazing what you find when you are moving house!!)

Dotty, i hope your move goes smoothly.

Doodle, i am expecting lots of HUGE spiders when we move the furniture at w/e as well as pretty much every other beastie you can picture! have already escorted squashed 2 beetles and 4 carpet beetle larvae thingies today! (i don't live in squalor but i can't get rid of the feckers!)

Doodle2U · 07/07/2008 11:38

Right, well MMJ has volunteered to 'do' the spiders.

She has emailed you, offering both of our services. I know where you live but you're right, dunno where the doors are to the flats you are in! We could stand outside the chippy shouting your name though!

We can take the baby for a walk, help with shifting stuff, bring a MacDonalds order round for a quick tea for the kids, nip down the shops if you need owt....I dunno, but the point is, you have two willing pairs of hands and an extra (big MPV...so farkin' shoot me) vehicle to help.

BlueDragonfly · 07/07/2008 11:42

i wish you didn't know my real name doodle...would be hilarious to have someone shout bluedragonfly

seriously though, i am ok today but tomo may be different (although i just remembered sports day! eek!)

thank you

Doodle2U · 07/07/2008 11:59

You're safe BD - am busy here, trying to catch the dog coz he needs a bath!

Just thought, we could do some tip runs if you have loads to chuck out. MMJ would enjoy that - you know how she likes to climb in to the skips and poke around

DS1 fell over at the tip y'day. Poor thing had a face full of blood and grime when he came home. He looks a right state today tripped over an open grid

Doodle2U · 07/07/2008 12:57

Ahh, bless him. That tip needs a LOT of investment.
