Rather embarrassed to ask but does everyone wax/shave/whatever down below? Is it the norm to do so and abnormal not to? sorry again

If he had been as well endowed as that, Cod, I may have overlooked the lack of hair!

MinE is comp clean shaven too, it felt a bit prepubescent at first, but I'm used to it now, it feels cleaner, and dp def prefers it. I've been doin it for years now, and I don't get the itching with regrowth any more - maybe it passes with time!
Trouble is now I can't even see it under my bump let alone shave it!!

NameChangingMancMidlander · 31/01/2005 11:29

Try to keep it tidy, but do get lazy. It's so easy just to leave it, but the 'burst mattress' look isn't a good one

I have to use immac as waxing is too much for my skin which always ends up red, bumpy and rashy after waxing, like a sunburnt raw chicken . Shaving with a razor is too fiddly around all the, ahem, contours, plus it tends to result in ingrown hairs and razor burn. I do leave a patch on top as I hate the completely all off look, scary ! Probably about about an inch and a half square.

Ever feel like you've given too much of yourself away.....

sweetkitty · 31/01/2005 12:22

I shave every 2 days in the shower.

Would love a brazilian again if I could afford it (£45) it defintely does make you feel cleaner down below

WigWamBam · 31/01/2005 12:24

I'm as hairy as nature intended, I'm afraid! I tried shaving a couple of times but regrowth was itchy, and I got ingrown hairs and rashes. I also felt it made me look a bit like a plucked chicken. I'm allergic to Immac, and I am not having my bush waxed for anyone! If anyone has a problem with a few stray hairs poking out from my underwear, that's their problem, not mine .

moschops · 31/01/2005 13:11

thank god for this thread........i thought i was the only woman on the planet who was 'unkempt' down below.

i've tried to tidy up a few times but always nick myself with a razor, i find Immac is totally rubbish. i can never get a decent finish with it, and i am way too much of a wimp to wax.

was thinking about buying one of those trimmers but as i will be developing a bump fairly soon it will probably be a waste of time!!

biglips · 31/01/2005 18:52

well ladies, i went shopping today and i thought ill look in boots and see if they got that trimmer and i found another one (boots make) for £14.99 but you dont get the style picts with it - i think? as its didnt mention on the box. im thinking of getting one too, as im joining in Aquafit this friday and i dont want "Spider legs" hanging out

KateandtheGirls · 31/01/2005 19:03

PMSL Cod!

I shave my very inner thighs, but don't shave anywhere that's not actually my leg, IYSWIM. I have tried shaving in the past and it gets all red and bumpy and irritated. I have tried Immac-type products and they never seem to work properly.

The only reason I would remove hair down there is so that it's not visible when I'm wearing a swimming costume, but the ones I wear most often have little shorts attached anyway.

Jessica'smuumy, I'm curious as to why clean shaven is nicer for your husband?

Name changing, you too funny, i am still laughing at your "description".
